Just five days left in the Dumbing of Age Book 6 Kickstarter! In case you missed yesterday’s update, there’s now a PICK FIVE MAGNETS pledge tier!
The Dumbing of Age Book 6 Kickstarter
has hit $55K, which means the last of the originally-forecast stretch goals has been hit, and we’ve got Jacob and Joe magnets. There’s new pledge tiers for Jacob, for Joe, and for Jacob and Joe together! Remember, you can do a PICK THREE MAGNETS tier if you’ve got a double-magnet tier and would like to add one of them, and also if you’ve got a COMPLETE MAGNET POWER thing going on, these guys are added to your pile.
Which makes it… twelve magnets total, I believe! That’s how many we did last year, but I might throw on a lucky thirteenth in the final week, just to say WE DID MORE. It’ll be a repeat character (in a new look, of course) from previous years, and I’ve put a poll up on Twitter to see where the demand is: https://twitter.com/damnyouwillis/status/854436651812233216

It’s the final week of the Dumbing of Age Book 6 Kickstarter, and I’m taking inventory of all of the character magnets we’ve unlocked so far though stretch goals. (And we’re pretty close to unlocking Joe and Jacob as well.) Let’s see, we got:

The DUMBING OF AGE BOOK SIX KICKSTARTER has 8 days left!
Today, there are two (2) new pledge tiers! You can now pledge for a 2.5″x4″ Joyce character magnet! (Hint: She’d go along very well with the Becky magnet you’re already receiving free along with your physical book.) There’s also a new pledge tier to get both of THE BROWN SISTERS, Joyce and Jocelyne!
Those of you who’ve pledged for COMPLETE MAGNET POWER, Joyce of course is added to your pile.
And if you’ve already pledged for a double magnet set, reminder that you can upgrade to the THREE MAGNETS pledge tier if you want to add Joyce.
Over at the Dumbing of Age Book 6 Kickstarter, there is a new GALASSO MAGNET tier! At 3″x5″, this is the biggest magnet I’ve ever produced! (Galasso is a big guy.) He will put all those other puny magnets in their place!
There’s also a new PICK THREE MAGNETS tier where you can, surprise, pick any three magnets unlocked by this Kickstarter campaign! You’ll be able to tell me which three magnets you want in your address survey, given out some time after the Kickstarter funds. So if you’re pledged for, like, a LESLIE/ROBIN magnet set, but also want Galasso, you can edit your pledge accordingly!
When the Kickstarter hits $45k (which it might have done already by the time this publishes), I will publish a sneak preview of a strip from JUNE for y’all. It won’t be, like, a spoilery one, but something more self-contained. But you have a choice between three strips, for which there’s a poll on the right hand side of the website under the comic strip. You can choose which future strip you want based on which characters appear in it. When I figure the poll has given me a clear answer, I’ll post the strip over on the Kickstarter and you can choose to go look at it if you want! Again, they’re not spoilery, so no one’s gonna be able to read them, come back over here, and post OMFG JOYCE IS DEAD or whatever.
I remembered that my birthday means it’s also Ultra Car’s birthday. And that this year in particular, Ultra Car is now 30 years old, since I first drew her on April 3, 1987. So for this month’s second Patreon bonus strip, here’s a scene from the Ultra Car crossover episode of Dexter & Monkey Master over at the Dumbing of Age Patreon.
