It’s the final 24 hours of the Dumbing of Age Book 10 Kickstarter!

Let’s go over the stats for the last time:  This book will collect “Year Ten,” spanning the four storylines that start on August 18, 2019, and complete on September 9, 2020. This includes new commentary, behind-the-scenes artwork, and new character designs into an 236-page tome with luxurious glossy paper all bound up into a sturdy presentation.  Our biggest book yet!  And there will be a foreword by Seanan McGuire!  There’s twelve new character magnets — one you get for free if you pledge for a book, and eleven more you can add in various ways!  

The book is titled Renounce Magical Thinking and Embrace Empirical Evidence, and it’s the culmination of a full decade of Dumbing of Age stories!  This is the big one!  With kidnappings and van chases!  The last one before Walky is hot!

It’s the final 48 hours for the Dumbing of Age Book 10 Kickstarter!  And look, it’s Eric Schuptenstein, the twelfth (and final??? probably) character magnet!

The Dumbing of Age Book 10 Kickstarter passed $55K this morning, which means that the CONQUEST MAGNET pledge tier is unlocked!  If you’ve gone in for a COMPLETE MAGNET POWER tier, consider her added to your ginormous pile of magnets.  If you want her and only a handful of other magnets, there’s PICK THREE and PICK FIVE MAGNETS tiers available!

Three Twitter polls this weekend (it’s complicated) all indicated that who you want to see at $60K for the twelfth (and final??????? maybe???? we’ll see) magnet is Eric, aka the fingerguns guy.  To be honest, if you list four options in a poll and one of them’s marked “the fingerguns guy,” that’s probably going to be the winning option, huh.

Birthday stuff

I’m just about out of the original run of Book 3, so the Dumbing of Age Book 10 Kickstarter is giving me a chance to reprint it!  The reprint of Book 3 will have a new cover, presented to the left!  There’s a number of ways to pick it up along with your Book 10 during this Kickstarter campaign:

  1. You can put down a pledge for it via the TEN AND THREE (either plain or extra) tiers
  2. You can get Book 10 plus Book 3 and last year’s Book 1 reprints by pledging for the TWO REPRINTS AND A BABY ( either plain or extra) tiers!
  3. If you’ve pledged for one of other tiers (like for the magnets and such) and want the Book 3 reprint, add $20 to your pledge and let me know the dilly in your address survey later!

Just 9 days remaining!
