I think you got it. Looking forward Amber or AG’s reaction, because they’re a lot more protective of their boundaries than Joyce, and I’m a trash goblin who craves mess.
I saw this going a different way, Jennifer find Dorothy in the closet with AG’s costume and assumes Dorothy is AG. How Jennifer find Dorothy there, idk, maybe tries to find Dorothy in her room and then through the half bath?
Dorothy’s ultimate prestige: she realizes that her political ambitions were a misguided attempt to channel her deep-seated Type-A caregiving tendencies, and she pivots to Nursing, where she gets paid to have new set of Joyces every week!
Maybe? Though, it is possible that instead she settles on Becky (Dorothy’s roommate) or Dina (who spends a lot of time in Becky’s room for … reasons).
I am especially scared she might publish a piece claiming the latter is Amazi-girl. Not for Dina, but for the poor fools that might come after her. That lizard-lady scares me.
So, Billie’s vague comments have led Dorothy to believe that Billie has finally begun to suspect Amazi-Girl’s true ID. So she snuck into Amber’s room via the shared bath to give AG a heads-up.
She finds that AG is not there, but sees the costume spread out on the floor. Realizing the risk to AG if Billie comes by and sees it, Dot picks up the uniform and decides to stash it in her room.
As she steps into the connecting bath, however, she is seized by the idea of ‘fixing’ AG’s costume.
that last panel reads to me as the “i don’t know what to do with my life now i lost my dedication to my long-term goal, so i’m reinventing myself by fixing everyone else’s life” pattern which Dorothy has displayed several times already.
I guess the shades but if anything other than a camo look, being obnoxiously bright would draw an opponents attention before being punched lol. Tho i don’t know if blue and yellow clash that much but i know orange is suppoed to be ‘complimentary’
Am I the only one seeing a connection between Dorothy having this tendency and Joe’s “I want to cook for people because cooking for someone feels like love” thing? It feels like there is a deep embrace of domestic tasks as an expression of care thing going on here, which ranges from sweet to “please Dorothy you don’t have permission to do this, are you okay, are you capable of stopping”?
I think the main correlation is that cooking for a loved one or cleaning another’s room or assisting them with a task are considered acts of service. Dorothy and Joe both feel the best way to express their love and appreciation for another is by doing a task of some kind for them, especially a domestic one because they usually require emotional labor and having someone else doing that labor is typically a load off of someone’s mind! …Though yeah Dorothy does have a tendency to look at a problem or task and go “nobody doing this? By all means, let me have a go at it!” without really asking for permission. Especially with Amber! We’ll see what Amber thinks about this recurring habit.
that last panel reads to me as the “i don’t know what to do with my life now i lost my dedication to my long-term goal, so i’m reinventing myself by fixing everyone else’s life” pattern which Dorothy has displayed several times already.
i mean, everybody in the cast could stand some mental healthcare, but girl does seem like she’s got some adhd that’s flailing now that she’s lost her presidential goal
Okay, assuming this story moves in a linear fashion, by the end of this story, Jennifer will think Dorothy is Amazi-Girl and Joyce will have seen Dorothy topless.
To hold on the tearaway pants which will conceal them. Great for rapid costume changes, so Amazi-Girl doesn’t have to go change like a normie in the middle of a crisis.
Oh my god, blah blah President blah blah violation of boundaries blah blah. None of that matters even slightly, it’s not important, it has no value.
What nobody’s talking about is how Dorothy is obviously going to make Amazi-Girl a new custom uniform with a velcro flap on the crotch. Maybe it’s so obvious nobody felt the need to comment on it (like how Dorothy’s hair is yellow), and now I’m the weird one for pointing out that people sit in chairs, but come on.
But it’s gonna fly open at an inopportune moment, revealing Dorothy’s tits. Jennifer, who somehow received Dorothy’s — No, JENNIFER’S tit-pic earlier, will make a sudden intuitive leap and hijinks ensue.
They’re not even close. Dorothy is slender. Amazi-Girl is thicc. Possibly with three or four ‘c’s. And as Walky confirmed the other day, she’s all solid under the surface padding.
Jennifer barges in, sees costume, has a minor seizure and says, “so! YOU are Amzi-Girl!”
Dorothy: “Nnnn…yes. Yes, I am Amazi-Girl!” [to protect Amber]
Dorothy now has dreary months of fending off Jennifer without undeceiving her. Everyone else sees that something is going on but nobody comments. Somehow Amber nor AG is ever present when this is happening; both are blissfully unaware.
I agree that Dorothy is experiencing the stumbling beginning of a bi awakening, but I’m not sure how “helping a friend hide their alterego and finishing up their costume” reads as hetero or queer inherently.
But there are scissors and sewing stuff among the clothing. Looks like one of them headed out to get some missing supplies (most likely leggings that match better 🙂 ) and just left the mess until she returns.
But HOW can Amber stop Dorothy if Dorothy has the Amazi-Girl costume? Obviously, Walky will have to be recruited, leading to a whole other set of hi-jinks. And SOME damn how this will lead back to Joyce’s boob-pics.
Jennifer could have seen the costume on the floor, and all she would have said is, “I don’t care if Amber wants to cosplay”.
Dorothy could put the costume on and strike a dramatic pose, and Jennifer would just say “WTF are you doing, Dotty?”
Amazi-Girl could actually walk in front of Jennifer in her street clothes, change into the costume while Jennifer watches, and do some parkour moves, and run off, and Jennifer would just say “Amber really takes that stuff seriously, doesn’t she?”
“Sal is Amazi-Girl” is Jennifer’s idée fixe, and no costume shenanigans are going to get in the way of that. Reality itself has no chance here.
Reminds me of a very early Spider-Man in which Dr Octopus unmasked Spidey, he freaked out, but everyone present, including J. Jonah Jameson and Doc Ock, thought it was just Peter Parker pretending for some reason.
I mean Peter Parker takes pictures of Spider-Man and sells them to a guy who hates Spider-Man and constantly defames him. You’d have to be some sort of crazy martyr to do that.
If I can trust a very old memory, there was a pertinent plot point for that story that Peter had contracted something like a 24-hour flu (at the end, the next day, he’s shown as being fine). So when he was going up against Doc Ock, he wasn’t fighting like Spiderman — he was staggering around and woozy and just too ill to move quickly. Which was what made Doc Ock confident that the kid under the mask that he had so easily beaten was not the superhero he usually fought.
I’m not sure but if I had to guess it’s more a general concern of it getting out to the larger public, including those who would care enough to enforce the laws regarding vigilantes
The real comedy would be if Jennifer decides Dina is Amazi-Girl. OTOH, she could announce to the larger group that she intends to out Amazi-Girl. Once they’re all sufficiently enraged she’d name Dina and see who says “Ha! It was Dorothy all along!”
help i accidentally build amazi-girl
Robo-Amazi-Girl
Chest Window incoming.
“I am Amazi-Girl!”
“I am Amazi-Girl!”
“I am Amazi-Girl!”
Jen-a-billie: Sal gets around quick.
I see Dorothy has found a new Joyce to take care of.
Ooooof
I think you got it. Looking forward Amber or AG’s reaction, because they’re a lot more protective of their boundaries than Joyce, and I’m a trash goblin who craves mess.
will be disappointed if Amber just starts locking the door from the half-bath, and nothing else comes of it.
I saw this going a different way, Jennifer find Dorothy in the closet with AG’s costume and assumes Dorothy is AG. How Jennifer find Dorothy there, idk, maybe tries to find Dorothy in her room and then through the half bath?
Theres still time.
Dorothy’s ultimate prestige: she realizes that her political ambitions were a misguided attempt to channel her deep-seated Type-A caregiving tendencies, and she pivots to Nursing, where she gets paid to have new set of Joyces every week!
KenanAndKelWHYYYY.gif
Is this the start of Dorothy’s Secret Origin story?
…honestly, I could kinda see it. Deciding to take the direct approach regarding her desire to help people.
Amazi-Girl as legacy character?
Amazi-Dotty. Amazi-Dot. Amazi-Madam-President.
Doesn’t really roll off the tongue.
Future Amazi-dent Doris
That works too well, please stop
It will get stuck in my brain
Amazi-Prez.
The Daring Dot.
Yes, but as a supervillain.
This is gonna end with Jennifer thinking Dorothy’s Amazi-Girl, isn’t it?
That would be a slightly less unreasonable thing to believe, so honestly probably not.
Wouldn’t that require her to stop thinking it’s Sal?
HOMPK!
Wingwoman aquired
Now, THERE’S a sidekick name!
this will surely not lead to any misunderstandings where Jennifer thinks Dorothy is AG. Surely not.
Cue Billie walking in and misunderstanding in 5…4…
Who is betting she wanna make her own super hero costume?
If so kudos!
Ironically she’d be better off being a vigilante than President
She can settle for being a VP!
Vigilante President!
Or Vigil Prez for short. Which is gonna get misinterpreted as Virgin Pretzel, among other mangled monikers.
Finally, the reboot of DC’s Prez Rickard we’ve all been waiting for.
Even Walky has one !
I can’t actually tell what Dotty is trying to do here, but every second seems more ill-advised than the last.
Realizing the risk to AG if Billie comes by and sees it, Dot picks up the uniform and decides to stash it in her room.

too clashy? what does that even mean? it clashes with what? Amber’s body type? the colour scheme?
Leggings a lighter shade of blue.
All I can figure is the tights don’t match the cape and the gloves. The blues are off.
I guess the shades but if anything other than a camo look, being obnoxiously bright would draw an opponents attention before being punched lol. Tho i don’t know if blue and yellow clash that much but i know orange is suppoed to be ‘complimentary’

I think it’s cute <3
that last panel reads to me as the “i don’t know what to do with my life now i lost my dedication to my long-term goal, so i’m reinventing myself by fixing everyone else’s life” pattern which Dorothy has displayed several times already.
Dorothy….Are you okay?
i mean, everybody in the cast could stand some mental healthcare, but girl does seem like she’s got some adhd that’s flailing now that she’s lost her presidential goal
Clashy?
Perfect avatar for the comment lolz
Dorothy: “What gives you the right? What’s the difference between you and me?”
Amber: “I’m not wearing hockeypads…I’m wearing roller derby gear.”
Alternatively, Amber shoves her hand through Dorothy’s chest and says “No one gives us the right. We take it.”
Alternatively alternatively, Amazigirl is getting her very own Alfred.
Dorothy wishes she could be that hot.
… I have no memory. Did you change your avatar to make this comment work?
(even better, obviously)
This has been my avatar for months
It’s true. Just look through the back comments.
OMG, I was thinking of Dotty as Alfred.
Wait, does that mean…
Ok, Pennyworth for President kinda works…
And Walky as her sidekick, Amazi-Lad.
Okay, assuming this story moves in a linear fashion, by the end of this story, Jennifer will think Dorothy is Amazi-Girl and Joyce will have seen Dorothy topless.
The 1980’s sitcom vibes check out. So yeah, likely.
Whoa where is she going with this?
Her room. Pay attention.
Why would leggings need velcro?
Might’ve got some wires crossed on a quick reveal.
To hold on the tearaway pants which will conceal them. Great for rapid costume changes, so Amazi-Girl doesn’t have to go change like a normie in the middle of a crisis.
“Dottie-Girl Begins”
What level of misunderstanding are they going to come to now
Dorothy doesn’t know what to do now that she doesn’t want to be president.
And being a superhero is, like, the same kind of thing that she thought being the president was, right?
She wants to be a good person who helps, by any means necessary.
Amazi-Girl is out there fighting crime, buck-ass naked, somehow still unrecognized.
It’s a better outcome than what I was dreading. I feared she’d be the new Two Face.
*Spray with water bottle* NO!
The flap isn’t for what you’re thinking, get your mind out of the gutter. She needs a place to store bus fare.
But it’s gonna fly open at an inopportune moment, revealing Dorothy’s tits. Jennifer, who somehow received Dorothy’s — No, JENNIFER’S tit-pic earlier, will make a sudden intuitive leap and hijinks ensue.
What a fever dream of a scenario. Why would Dorothy’s boobs be in the crotchflap of Amazi-Girl’s pants?
She rents the space.
I love your Alfred icon! Sorry, off topic, but The Batman is an underrated show.
Does she even have the same measurements as Amazi-Girl? Dorothy! DOROTHY!!
Amazi-Girl’s current outfit isn’t unique and up to code, I fear. I can wear a a yellow jacket over a blue top too.
Amber has in the past been referred to as “shorter, rounder Dorothy”, so they can’t be too far off.
They’re not even close. Dorothy is slender. Amazi-Girl is thicc. Possibly with three or four ‘c’s. And as Walky confirmed the other day, she’s all solid under the surface padding.
If someone messed with a costume that I made myself, that person would be shortly missing their fingers.
DON’T CUT UP OTHER PEOPLE’S THINGS DOROTHY HOLY FRICK
Cut the fuck out of everything, Dorothy! Snip snip snip, goodbye other people’s stuff!
If she didn’t wanted them cut she should had a better sense of for color schemes.
i’m surprised she would even risk it without knowing ambers exact measurements, even if whatever fabric she bought was more ‘stretchy’ or so xd
Love that Dorothy is that much of a details nerd.
As well as every other kind of nerd. She is the ultimate nerd. Queen of the nerds.
The control freak returns.
Dorothy is currently in the closet.
Is it going to be Amber or Amazigirl who pulls her out kicking and screaming to murder her and descend into a villain arch?
Wait, is she putting the costume in a closet or taking the costume into her own room? I’m confused
this is going to be like that time that lady repainted jesus’ face
Of course there’s a sewing machine in there. Dorothy’s prepared for anything.
No, that is amazi girl
<- Pretend that's a Jennifer gravatar for the above post. And this one too.
Dorothy reminds me too much of me sometimes.
… Are we about to witness the birth of Amazigirl II? XD
The joke that they look a lot alike taken to the logical conclusion XD
I also think this is what’s up.
Wow, what a completely normal and heterosexual thing to do
I agree that Dorothy is experiencing the stumbling beginning of a bi awakening, but I’m not sure how “helping a friend hide their alterego and finishing up their costume” reads as hetero or queer inherently.
Domino pieces are being set up… i dont like where this is headed (especially with Jennifers tendency to jump to conclusions)
Amazi-Girl has learned to be the best at what she care about to do. the rest can just be whatever…
Wait, *why* is Amazi-Girl’s costume spread out all over the floor? Did something important happen off-screen?
We saw her not long ago as Amber and wearing Amber’s clothes. I think Amber’s just not great about picking up after herselves.
But there are scissors and sewing stuff among the clothing. Looks like one of them headed out to get some missing supplies (most likely leggings that match better 🙂 ) and just left the mess until she returns.
Dorothy then goes on a vigilante spree that accidentally ends in dozens of people dead.
Amber has to stop her.
Wait, no, this isn’t DC comics.
But HOW can Amber stop Dorothy if Dorothy has the Amazi-Girl costume? Obviously, Walky will have to be recruited, leading to a whole other set of hi-jinks. And SOME damn how this will lead back to Joyce’s boob-pics.
AG notices the changes, decides that the result fits and works better, and writes them off as a friendly gesture from Amber.
This is absolutely going to end with Jennifer thinking Dorothy is Amazi-girl.
No, no, no.
None of this is necessary.

Which was what made Doc Ock confident that the kid under the mask that he had so easily beaten was not the superhero he usually fought.
lol didn’t jennifer say “amber looks nothing like her” when she was doing a ‘crappy’ cosplay of herself on halloween
Hilarious misunderstandings are imminent!
Why is who Jenny thinks is Amazi-Girl important? It never was before.
I’m not sure but if I had to guess it’s more a general concern of it getting out to the larger public, including those who would care enough to enforce the laws regarding vigilantes
It’s mostly Daisy AKA Jennifer’s editor at the newspaper that wants to get in Amazi-Girl’s pants
Of course Daisy isn’t interested in AG’s identity, just in pictures.
Why would she want to get in Amazi-Girl’s pants? They’re entirely the wrong size for her!
I’m sure there will be no issues whatsoever with taking Amazigirl’s outfit without asking or even informing her. No issues whatsoever
Fortunately, Amazi-Girl knows a good detective.
What you said, without a hint of sarcasm.
The real comedy would be if Jennifer decides Dina is Amazi-Girl. OTOH, she could announce to the larger group that she intends to out Amazi-Girl. Once they’re all sufficiently enraged she’d name Dina and see who says “Ha! It was Dorothy all along!”
Unrealistic simply because: she has been trying to out Amazi-Girl for ages with a different mistaken identity and nobody has *ever* cared.
lmao even tho she’s not super active as amazigirl you’d think she’d recalibrate any traps or so to prevent ppl from going through her closet
I really don’t want this to be as cringe as I think it might be. I trust Willis. I really do.
When Amber is nowhere to be found, Dotty is confronted with an “If only Amazi-Girl were here!” moment.
Well damn, I’m all caught up now. Back to the life of a daily reader like I was 13 years ago…
I’m shipping Dorothy with Amber, Amazigirl and Jennifer now.
