At least Walky’s looking more comfortable about it now. Two strips ago, when he said “I missed you”, he had this whole “Oh shit, should I have said that? Do I MEAN it? Is this gonna be bad for Dorothy? I shouldn’t have said it.” look on his face. Especially on the panel where he was snarking about “Yep, it’s like we never broke up at all.” It looks like he has decided that Dorothy (and himself) would be happier being back together.
I just wonder how poor Lucy’s gonna take this once she finds out. :/
Plus, it’s much harder to have a mind-Walky and pretend it’s the real one, when you can see the real one doing something that doesn’t fit your narrative at all, like dating his ex instead of hoping to get back together with you…….
I’m not sure why you think that? They’ve talked a bit, checked in on each other’s feelings, had several kinds of intimacy, I’m honestly not sure what more you want from this situation to be the “ideal”.
I’m just a Walky man with a Walky life
I dumb from day to day, hey, hell, I pay the price
All I want is to be left alone in my Walky home
But why do I always feel like I’m in the Dumbing Zone?
That’s right, Dorothy! Keep trying until Joyce doesn’t pop up in the conversation! Either you’ll realize something about yourself, or you’ll have an excuse to catch up on weeks of (presumed) abstinence!
Yeah, despite most.of the comment section having the rose tinted glasses on I actually feel like this isn’t good for either of them
In a vacuum, Wally and Dorothy are good together but right now I think they’re doing this less because they want to get back together and more because they’re both running from something.
That’s not to say I think they need to break up and never ever date again or anything like that just… This feels founded on very shaky ground right now Nd I think this being shown right after Danny and Sal who are very happy and healfhy for another is a very deliberate narrative parallel.
Damn, it may be, but you know, I know it sounds too optimistic on my part, but I think that with all the torment that Dorothy went through, she deserves a good time, yes, many in the comments show doubts about returning to Walky, but I feel that whatever happens next (although it is unpredictable) the dynamism between the two will continue.
“Pod Bay Doors” of course refers to their mouths, because he wants them to vape and then blow the vapor into his wang. Nobody wants the responsibility for any complications that may be caused.
It’s none of our business to hopefully humorously speculate or make assumptions on the sexual preferences of fictional characters? What am I even reading stories for if not to do this?
Also, the strip’s creator literally sells porn of the strip, which is part of the actual canon. Like, in most situations, I’d say it’s a weird aside to take, and could be inappropriate. But while it isn’t the only reason it exists, this comic is literally functioning as an ad for a premium pornography subscription.
Walky definitely has been a self-insert at times (especially in the old continuity) but as you can tell from him not really caring about Transformers he’s far from a 1/1 representation
Because David is his name? Am I not allowed to do that either? I’m not referencing the author, I just thought saying Walky’s first name was kind of cute.
If these were real people I’d heartily agree with you. However, this is a webcomic in which the characters’ most private moments are displayed for us to watch and clap. Their sex lives are very much available for both our viewing and for us to speculate upon.

printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings.
Well, that last part is a little iffy then. I’d say most of the pornographiques are intended to stimulate erotic and emotional feelings. Probably aesthetic too, but … honestly, that one seems weird to me anyway.
I mean, most erotic things tend to be aesthetically pleasing, at least to the people who find them erotic.
After so much torment, it was time for Dorothy to have a pleasant moment, yes, there is still a lot ahead, but since there are no unnecessary weights on her, she will get ahead, she deserves it.
Walky could likely pull it off too if he were more secure in himself to try cross dressing. He has a slight hint of femininity that drives the people wild.
Not, of course, that there aren’t plenty of states that lack laws on the books against discriminatory anti-LGBT hiring practices, but even so the level of scrutiny isn’t the same between average jobs vs the presidency.
I guess I’m with others that this form of getting back together seems less than ideal but, on the other hand, I ship this couple and want them to be end game, so, whatever works to get there.
Unless I missed it though did things officially end with Lucy? I don’t like her with Walky and think they should not be a couple but I do think the decent thing for him to do is have a 100% crystal clear conversation with her that it’s over.
Anything can happen and I’m okay with this ship making it to the end of the story.
Honestly, I think Lucy will now be more entertained interacting with Sarah and Jacob, but it is important for Walky to make it clear that everything is over, and she may be exaggerating, but Lucy is capable of creating a drama where she is “the misunderstood one.”
I love them together so I’m happy about it, good idea or not.
I am team “Lucy and Walky are broken up for sure.” If it was just about Linda, maybe I could call it a fight. But after that, Lucy sees things clearly for the first time and realizes her feelings for Walky are one-sided. That combination of “I deserve better,” and “I’ll see you in class,” spell a breakup for me. I really struggle to intepret that any other way.
I mostly agree, but the part at the end doesn’t track with me. Jacob offered to tag along to breakfast, he didn’t ask her out. That kind of offer wouldn’t have prompted me to say “I have a boyfriend” or otherwise no matter what my situation was.
We’re still not quite at the high-water mark of homoeroticism established by Dorothy telling Joyce “get in loser, we’re going masturbating”. But this scene’ll get there if Dorothy brings up Joyce in the usual context of someone’s name being said during sex.
I dunno if this is the best idea. Walky’s still fresh from a break-up right now and rebounding into his ex feels too much like backsliding. And I’m afraid that Dorothy might only be looking for a new project now that Joyce seems to be less of a mess. Feels more like they’re settling into the familiar rather than have to actually deal with all these new problems they’re facing. Which is such an 18-year old thing to do.
For walky it was a 2 week relationship where he was cockteased and dumped before getting laid ( and maybe he didnt want to , that much )
Hes had multiple opportunities at Dorothy.
and I think Rebounding into something real is Walkys Kink.
Theyve been throught a lot together since, including the Kidnapping.
Dorothys learned she needs people more than she thought.
Lucy made the mistake not striking while the fire was hot with walky. Keeping her feelings to herself, then never allowing walky to ever catch up.
Dorothy is not making that mistake. shes sharing both her feelings and her vulnerability.
Walky didnt jump in her pants. He could have had her before multiple times and Karyoke. I think they should talk a lot more about expectations and parameters; but the alternative is FWB relationship when Dorothy wants more. They are going to keep dicking either way. Walky knows that. at least this way hes not stringing Dorothy along.
A penis can be exposed easily by unzipping your pants and pulling your underwear slightly down. I have yet to encounter a vulva that can do the same, so away the pants go.
I suppose you can simply pull them down a little bit, further but when it’s a full pair of pants there’s a tendency to sorta tent up and make positioning a little awkward. If she had been wearing short enough shorts, those could simply be pulled aside and/or left to dangle, but alas.
I mean, she kind of just did that? What more needs to be said? People in monogamous relationships aren’t going to stop finding other people attractive.
Walky like Darth Vader if instead of “take the princess and the Wookiee to my ship” he alters the deal to be “they’re free to go. Also free to file a complaint with the Admiralty. It’s Piett’s ship, not mine, I’m technically just a consultant.”
Who’s room are they in?
My first impression is that it’s Dorothy’s, since her sheet color matches her purple shirt.
But why not Walky’s? Booster’s gotta be somewhere else by now.
My third impression is my favorite: they just ran down the hall pulling at doorknobs till they found an unlocked room then just started bumpin’ uglies on some stranger’s bed.
The cover on Walky’s bed “this morning” was blue.
So the second option on works if the sheets under the cover are purple.
Possible, but doubtful.
So option 1 or option 3 as the dark horse.
Definitely weird. English rules _clearly_ require the “-ize” suffix. Thus, “recondomize yourself” is correct. That’s just proper prescribed usage. Walky should be disappointed in Dorothy’s post-coital error.
feel like more conditions than that are needed on both sides
like “be straight with me about how hardcore you’re planning on going on studying and extracurriculars”
and “don’t eat toilet nachitos”
Yes, Dorothy has no physical desires for Joyce, much like the invitation to do sex stuff with Joyce (or just with Joyce present, if you’re feeling pedantic) was definitely ALWAYS a joke, and would not have been very differently reacted to if Walky was into it. ;P
Now there’s to wait to see whether Dorothy’s panic will begin that same day, when she realizes that Joyce keeps coming back to her mind, or after a few days of her being with Walky. When she’ll realize that she keeps thinking about her. I hope for a 2nd dream, possibly more explicit than the one with the horse.

Dotty this is not an ideal way to rekindle a relationship
who said that was her (only?) intention?
Still, intimacy itself isn’t a bad thing.
okay thats true
but its a great way to bang repeatedly to resolve the sexual tension
On the contrary. Lighthearted silliness is probably keeping Walky’s wariness away. Too serious/romantic would probably get him into panic mode.
At least Walky’s looking more comfortable about it now. Two strips ago, when he said “I missed you”, he had this whole “Oh shit, should I have said that? Do I MEAN it? Is this gonna be bad for Dorothy? I shouldn’t have said it.” look on his face. I just wonder how poor Lucy’s gonna take this once she finds out. :/
Lucy never knew or cared about the REAL Walky anyway, just the version that exists in her mind.
That doesn’t mean that it won’t hurt her.
Plus, it’s much harder to have a mind-Walky and pretend it’s the real one, when you can see the real one doing something that doesn’t fit your narrative at all, like dating his ex instead of hoping to get back together with you…….

alt text: He could make it better by different types for different people mentioned
Hate it when the alt-text beats me to my comment.
Kinky
I hope you consented first before getting beaten!
It’s Willis way of first commenting in semi secret.
These two have the weirdest dynamic sometimes in a way that still feels… oddly organic, really. I dig them.
It’s a natural dynamism, that’s why it’s great
I always feel like
Joyce Brown is watchin’ me
They won’t stop talkin’ ’bout Joyce, will they? The hidden threesome right there~
Walky: “She can watch as long as I get to sing that until she leaves or I cum, whichever comes first.”
Please accept this “+1” in lieu of an actual upvote.
I’m just a Walky man with a Walky life

But why do I always feel like I’m in the Dumbing Zone?
Somebody say “afterglow“?
Dumbing of Age Book 14: Look, We Can Get Back Together, But We Gotta Promise We’ll Stop Talkin’ ’bout Joyce in the Afterglow
That’s right, Dorothy! Keep trying until Joyce doesn’t pop up in the conversation! Either you’ll realize something about yourself, or you’ll have an excuse to catch up on weeks of (presumed) abstinence!
Well I guess that’s that. Kind of anticlimactic how they got back together honestly.
Plenty of opportunity for it to get weird in a bad way.
Yeah, despite most.of the comment section having the rose tinted glasses on I actually feel like this isn’t good for either of them
In a vacuum, Wally and Dorothy are good together but right now I think they’re doing this less because they want to get back together and more because they’re both running from something.

I like this take. It’s a good take!
They’re both running from their own failures into familiar territory, but they’ve both changed since they broke up a few months ago.
Anticlimactic? They’re going for round two!
Anticlimactic? They’re multi-climactic!
That’s how life is sometimes, even if dorothy was a bit unstable at the moment before
altho better than like a ‘casual/lighthearted proposal’/engagement ro so XD
Ok, but this isn’t life, it’s a story.
Sure, but this webcomic does aim to be more ‘realistic’ as opposed to say, qc, even if the amazigirl stuff kinda stretches that at times
They’ve been building to this for a while now.
The climax was in the previous strip.
Isn’t this more postclimactic?
Walky is disappointingly unkinky. Just normal sex for Dave I guess.
That’s a rather absurd extrapolation, and none of our business.
David “Walky” Walkerton, known colloquially as “Dave” among the kink circles of Bloomington.
He asks for a lot of unusual stuff (off-camera) in the kink circles. But is too often denied. “I’m sorry, Dave; I can’t do that.” Poor Dave.
Ah, but you see, Dave’s real kink is in the denial.
Especially when they refuse to open the “pod bay doors.”
“Pod Bay Doors” of course refers to their mouths, because he wants them to vape and then blow the vapor into his wang. Nobody wants the responsibility for any complications that may be caused.
Have a +1 upvote!
….and sadly Daisy wants nothing to do with his raging tandem-bicycle fetish.
It’s none of our business to hopefully humorously speculate or make assumptions on the sexual preferences of fictional characters? What am I even reading stories for if not to do this?

To which I nod and say, yes, you’ve figured it out.
Good for you, 9_9
I think Orthogonal was inferring that Sirksome was referring to Dave Willis, the author, who has at times said that Walky is a self-insert character.
Walky definitely has been a self-insert at times (especially in the old continuity) but as you can tell from him not really caring about Transformers he’s far from a 1/1 representation
Not as much as Joyce.
Why are you calling him “Dave” then? Literally nobody else does that!
I have to say I didn’t notice any humor, BTW.
Because David is his name? Am I not allowed to do that either? I’m not referencing the author, I just thought saying Walky’s first name was kind of cute.
The DOA comments section’s kink, of course, is finding stupid shit to get mad at.
“I have to say I didn’t notice any humor, BTW.”
You actually didn’t have to say that. It’s a very strange thing to say to somebody.
I got the joke.
If these were real people I’d heartily agree with you. However, this is a webcomic in which the characters’ most private moments are displayed for us to watch and clap. Their sex lives are very much available for both our viewing and for us to speculate upon.
There is literally officially produced and completely canonical pornography starring these characters
It´s not porno, it´s erotica.
Way different
It’s called hentai. And it’s art.
No, no. It’s definitely literally pornography.

Okay, A) that’s hilarious and B) I would much rather call my porn ☆sparkling smut☆ anyway.
Me (bowing in your general direction): Thank you, thank you.
Considering its Wannabee Peeper Joyce as DOA official autobiographical story…
and this is story from Xtian Fundie to Cartoon POrnlord, ans shes speedrunning it ,..
not exactly
Ayo?
No, she’s in that other comic, the one about grey walls.
That’s a questionable assumption.
Eh.
I’ve seen people get back together in worse ways.
Ruth and Billie could get back together away worse (and I would be pleased because I like car crash level lesbionics)
.. I can’t tell if the usage of the phrase “car crash” in the same context as Ruth is intentional or not.
+1 for dark humor’s sake.
Is it not a reference to both of them? Jennifer famously had a DUI that is the reason Alice no longer speaks to her.
They will!
Dorothy : “we have a looot of catching up to do”
“RE-CONDOM YOURSELF!” Sounds like a command a villain barks to his killbot army.
Gaddddammit now I’m hearing in The Monarch’s voice dammit dammit
Re-condoming one’s self would certainly be a “dick move.”
*slow applause
(‘slow clap’ is inappropriate terminology here, since condoms are supposed to prevent that.)
Wouldn’t it be more likely to be in Dr. Girlfriend’s voice?
Poor poor Malcolm!
Honestly as soon as I read that I’m like “Dorothy is the master of dirty talk over here”
This is the coolest way they could get back together, without some other apocalyptic catastrophe spanning several hundred meters.
After so much torment, it was time for Dorothy to have a pleasant moment, yes, there is still a lot ahead, but since there are no unnecessary weights on her, she will get ahead, she deserves it.
Breakdown!
lol is the swaetervest part of her shirt? seems easier to just keep that off completely rather than just partially re-dressing
She kept the sweatervest on, on top of her open shirt, the whole time.
It’s as though Joyce was already there with them.
This is how you know she was thinking about Joyce
Starting to feel like Joyce has that one person she tells you not to worry about energy.
Already happened with Raidah and Jacob
It’s a lot easier to not talk about Joyce afterwards if he agrees to dress up like her during.
Damn it, that’s a good idea actually
Walky could likely pull it off too if he were more secure in himself to try cross dressing. He has a slight hint of femininity that drives the people wild.
During the old continuity, Walky did dress up as Sal. That was in a combat situation, though.
After he went to Canada and got ‘transed’, Joe grabbed his ass, and either Tony or Jason (or both?) hit on him.
……
Fuck now i really want femboy walky
Give us femboy walky you coward lmao
I think… where this is going isn’t gonna be Joyce/Dotty/Walky…
IIIIII think where this is ultimately heading is gonna be Joyce/Joe/Dotty (at least once). I’m calling it now, let this post be my witness.
Many people are saying this!
Dorothy is really keen on discovering things about herself innit. And every time, she sounds keener.
Babygirl isn’t even trying to beat the bisexuality accusations anymore.
On some level, it’s probably that it’s no longer a serious impediment to her career goals.
Not, of course, that there aren’t plenty of states that lack laws on the books against discriminatory anti-LGBT hiring practices, but even so the level of scrutiny isn’t the same between average jobs vs the presidency.
I see what you did in that first paragraph…
At first, I was “nah, wasn’t purposeful” and then I reconsidered and was “yah that’s good.”
*while on top of Walky*
“I just think maybe you’d like Joyce more if we tried it”
“In fact, I think I’d like Joyce more if you… were somewhere else.”
I guess I’m with others that this form of getting back together seems less than ideal but, on the other hand, I ship this couple and want them to be end game, so, whatever works to get there.

Yeah.
You are right. It was also ambiguous, but on purpose under Lucies agency.
You dont call dibs on ppl like a hotdog you are saving for later.
less so get to imagine you can do that without using your words.
people are forgetting she saw walky and spent time with him almost every day. For Months and Months.
Its not just a Breakup, its been a friend break for walky.
the only reason Lucy dodnt go on a date herself with jacob is she healthily chose to be alone. and said so .
Broken up alone. By herself. She could have Told Jacob “I have a bf” or even “i might be broken up”
Bit no, it was “yes, but maybe later”
If she wanted walky to stand up to his mother and win her back, she waited a day too late.
I mostly agree, but the part at the end doesn’t track with me. Jacob offered to tag along to breakfast, he didn’t ask her out. That kind of offer wouldn’t have prompted me to say “I have a boyfriend” or otherwise no matter what my situation was.
I think it WAS honestly very clear that Lucy officially ended things.
I’m gonna have to remember to rewind to this long string of adorkable moments, next time everything is horrible forever.
This is incredible.
We’re still not quite at the high-water mark of homoeroticism established by Dorothy telling Joyce “get in loser, we’re going masturbating”. But this scene’ll get there if Dorothy brings up Joyce in the usual context of someone’s name being said during sex.
“Joyce, your first lesson was jilling off. Now lesson two is getting screwed.”
Credit to Walky if he can keep a boner after THAT conversation
At 18 years of age? Quite easy.
I said
What I said

Wow. “Cockteased” is a wild way to describe what happened there.
Forgive if i already posted this:
Can some PLEASE explain to me how/ why they are dressed.
I dont get it. did they bang with clothes on ? Is this like a TV trope, like 6 feet under.
They were in too much of a hurry to take their clothes off all the way. Dorothy’s pants are off, but their shirts are just pushed up.
thx
I can understand the shirts being still on, they were in a hurry, but why does Walky still have his pants on?
A penis can be exposed easily by unzipping your pants and pulling your underwear slightly down. I have yet to encounter a vulva that can do the same, so away the pants go.
I suppose you can simply pull them down a little bit, further but when it’s a full pair of pants there’s a tendency to sorta tent up and make positioning a little awkward. If she had been wearing short enough shorts, those could simply be pulled aside and/or left to dangle, but alas.
Dorothy needs to address being clearly horny for Joyce.
Alt text: I suspect Walky’s flesh gives out before Dorothy’s willingness to get banged while talking about Joyce does.
bottomless is my weakness
Surprise! Joyce is actually in the closet
I made a poor (great) wording choice, I meant she’s hiding there
Methinks Dotty is in the closet, too. All alone in that confined, cozy darkness with Joyce.
Okay, that was smart
F Wally and Lucy
Joyce peeps out from behind the drapes. “Well, actually….”
Joyce (peeping out from behind the drapes; a hand covering an eye; the other hand busy elsewhere): “Well, actually…”
Yay safe sex!
An elusive sighting of Meredith’s room.
The cover on Walky’s bed “this morning” was blue.
So the second option on works if the sheets under the cover are purple.
Possible, but doubtful.
So option 1 or option 3 as the dark horse.
Sierra standing there watching them. “I don’t have to leave this time, this is my room.”
Seriously, though, the covers match Dorothy’s from earlier in the morning when Becky was sulking at her.
I feel like it’s the first time i’ve ever seen the word re-condom. It’s just weird lol
DOROTHY.
DOTTY.
Frankly relieved this didn’t end with Dorothy saying she had physical desires for Joyce. Romances in this strip are complicated enough as it is.
What, you think it makes it simpler if she keeps her physical desires for Joyce simmering under the surface where everyone can see them except Joyce?
Yes, Dorothy has no physical desires for Joyce, much like the invitation to do sex stuff with Joyce (or just with Joyce present, if you’re feeling pedantic) was definitely ALWAYS a joke, and would not have been very differently reacted to if Walky was into it. ;P
original text of the second speech bubble was “unless…”
Yes. It is fortunate she concluded with an entirely heterosexual statement about how she might say Joyce’s name while having sex.
Grace is gonna be walking past Doorothy’s dor and hear “Oh, Joyce! your dick is entirely adequate!” and wonder what’s going on in there.
Bisexuality, known complicator of relationships.
(for text-tonal reasons: this is sarcasm)
Now there’s to wait to see whether Dorothy’s panic will begin that same day, when she realizes that Joyce keeps coming back to her mind, or after a few days of her being with Walky. When she’ll realize that she keeps thinking about her. I hope for a 2nd dream, possibly more explicit than the one with the horse.
It will definitely bring up hilarity with Becky. I could honestly see her do stuff like pick up Dina and placing Dina behind her when Dorothy comes by
at least we’re aware
Which step in her seven part plan to get Walky and Lucy back together is this?
This is gonna be a problem, isn’t it?
“I’m gonna enJOYCEitting on your face”
“…”
“DANGIT
Dorothy extending the refractory period for the next round…..
