If you define “pressure” solely as, I dunno, math problems, and not “everyone around me was selected because they’re supposedly the best of the best and I feel like I’m barely keeping up.” Which seems weird to me, especially based on the accounts of the Ivy league grads I know.
My ivy (+ Stanford) experiences have been much more of the I was told everyone around was the best of the best but that is *clearly* not true. Yes lots of amazing people but plenty (white, mostly male) that you wonder how they got in. ‘Tech schools have been much more of feeling like the dumbest in the room for even super brilliant people.
I don’t know, if she’s refusing to go because of the offer being related to the kidnapping it might also mean an acceptance of success without spreadsheeting one’s day right down to bathroom breaks
Based on earlier comments made by Joyce and her family, I don’t think they really had a clear idea of how modern Judaism works growing up. The “leave a glass out for Elijah” thing is a rabbinical tradition, not a Biblical one
I was taught that Elijah would come to dinner when the Messiah came and i am led to Christians beleive that Jesus was the Messiah and John the Baptist was prophet that stood in for Elijah, so doesn’t that mean Christans celebrating Passover is kind of sacrilegious? I am guessing they use the idea that Jesus celebrated passover so we must to as a way of justification. It’s still not cool to do so.
There is an altered version of a Seder, where they make up a lot of stuff about how things are symbolic of Jesus. It’s really bad, sorry.
That’s different than doing communion, which is also Christians doing a part of what they imagine Jesus did at the Last Supper, which according to legend was a Seder meal.
They’ll be Joyce’s new best friends. Virtually indistinguishable from Dorothy as they’re both hard-working, constantly on the move, and can lift up to fifty times their own body weight.
Dorothy’s gonna try to do a spinning heel study, mess up her footwork, and go flying over the ropes, landing really hard on her back and getting carried out on a stretcher. Then Riley will coincidentally be visiting Roz, who comes to visit Dorothy out of concern, but for one reason or another Riley will overhear a Big Secret and have to take Dorothy’s place on a very important mission.
I just pulled the EP up on my music ap, I love 25 minute long pieces of music. That’s how I meditate. Actually I use Tubular Bells from the same artist to meditate to on a regular basis. I also like the original version of Autobahn for meditating.
To me the scary thing isn’t that she is running headlong towards the cliff to rock bottom (that plunge seems like it was always inevitable), but rather that she is now pushing her friends away again, burning her safety net when she needs it most.
I can actually see that working. After the guided masterbation session, it’s a hard sell to say Dorothy’s as straight as she believes. Find the right guy and I can see them pulling a throuple off.
I am concerned about Dorothy, but I mean, we knew this was going to happen with her. I also kind of wonder if she would have even *wanted* Barry or Jason’s job, but I get this is a matter of principle to a degree.
Was Joyce’s cult one of those Christan sects that celebrated passover and have a sedar? Beacuse it’s cool to attend and particpate in a sedar of a Jewish friend or family it is not cool for Christans to host their own sedar. It seems to be a thing that is being done and it’s cultural appropriation.
I dunno about that. My family did it. We also celebrated Hanukkah. And a bunch of other holidays. My sister believes that the family has Jewish roots, based on oral tradition, but I just figure all the traditions are the heritage of all those who choose to remember them. The Passover story is a human story that shaped everyone. That’s just me, though. I get that other folks feel more strongly than I do about using culture.
Christians actively making Jewish holidays about Jesus is the issue, and it’s a real, fucked up, issue. That doesn’t sound like what you’re describing.
Well, on one hand, it is arguable that Jewish tradition is Christian tradition. The first Christians were Jews; gentiles came in later. There’s a bit somewhere about being grafted into the vine. You are, of course, free to accept or reject this bit of handwaving.
On the other hand, yes, there are folks who will make going to the store for paper towels be about Jesus somehow. I really don’t know why. I tend to see it as stemming from a lack of faith, but I’m probably being uncharitable again.
Arguable yes. A BAD argument but it could be argued sure. Given that xtian societies used Jewish holidays as particular times to be violent to extra punish us for not being xtian yeah i don’t think it’s a good argument.
I definitely hear what you are saying. There’s so much historical pain and trauma, there. That to see one’s sacred days being co-opted and twisted for other (antithetical) meanings, it can feel like mockery. Even desecration.
…I hadn’t thought of it that way. Thank you for explaining it.
But, I mean, at the same time, the Torah and Midrash are part of the Christian historical and literary and cultural religious tradition. To cut those elements off from one’s practice — especially for families with blended roots — it just feels like cutting off a part of oneself. And for the Universalists, and Quakers, many of whom believe that “Every day is a holiday,” it can feel very important to honor the traditions and foods and music and teachings of one’s own cultural forebears, even if the current theology isn’t exactly the same.
…I’m probably wrong about this. Just sharing my own limited perspective, based on growing up in a multicultural household.
Sorry, I know. I should have said, “Even if the current theology is different.” Because the theologies are different.
And by “every day is a holiday,” a better reflection of that sentiment is “every day is a holy day.”
I know that sounds cheesy and new age. It’s just… some people really were raised to embrace multiple cultures, and it’s hard to pick just one while remaining whole.
It’s one thing to do it in a blended house where there’s actual cultural roots to share. It’s another to do it as part of ‘my religious tradition’ when your religious tradition decreed those holidays aren’t part of your religion millennia ago and your forebears spent those millennia MURDERING those who continued to do it because they weren’t part of your faith. I’m sorry, but you shouldn’t be allowed to just turn around and say ‘well, this is part of our religious tradition too!’ It’s not.
I get that. Thank you for showing me that perspective. I really hadn’t thought of it that way. I am grateful to you for opening my eyes to that aspect of the situation.
I guess it kind of depends on how one was raised, what relationship one has to the ancestors’ cultural traditions. Thank you.
Yeah, if early Christians had kept some Jewish traditions and holidays then the “same tradition” argument would make sense, but it can’t apply to trying to claim them thousands of years later.
Especially when a lot of those specific practices developed in the rabbinical tradition after the destruction of the Temple and thus after Christianity.
For sure! Especially when it comes to mixed houses, the lines for heritage can be blurry. Thejeff is also correct that Passover seders are not part of the Judaism that early Christians left because that developed after the Temple was destroyed, so there’s no way for it to be part of early Christian tradition.
Go ahead and try to make me personally responsible for the heretical actions of people who perverted what they had been taught centuries before I was born.
Lacking further information, her saying “as if” could just be a comparison she’s making because she spent the past ~18 years being a sponge for everything even remotely Bible-adjacent and it’s just right there in her brain. But I would be extremely unsurprised if her family and church did some of the weird appropriative stuff some groups get up to.
The whole Elijah thing comes from a rabbinic tradition which was the precursor to modern Judaism it also is messianic in nature and given that Christans beleive that Jesus was the Messiah it seems irrelevant if a little sacrilegious for Christans to celebrate it.
Also I did not like Passover my mom was Jewish and my siblings and I were raised Jewish but my Dad is Catholic and we would have Sunday dinner with my Dad’s very large Catholic family who would abstain from eating meat for Lent ( which often crossed over with Passover) and we couldn’t eat bread or anything with yeast so all we could eat is fish on Sunday which I hated. Also I really like bread sont care about the carbs . Also most of my friends were Catholic so when I ate over all they had was fish.
Now I actually like some kinds of fish but it’s too late.
Not sure all I know is on Sundays when lent and passover overlapped we didn’t eat meat or bread on Sundays. Alot of extended family is Catholic but I don’t really know much about it my Dad is a lapsed Catholic, maybe my grandmother just used lent as an excuse to have fish on Sundays.
Jarred gefilte fish is weirdly like soggy jellied bread. Says the Jewish vegetarian who hates matzoh and hasn’t eaten fish for about 25 years… But before I was veggie, I would eat quite a lot of it at Passover (we’d rarely have it otherwise; Passover, I’d eat 3 jars or so in 8 days)… Homemade, the texture is like slightly gritty soggy bread? Definitely better than matzoh.
Would that have been a weird thing to have around Catholics?
My husband is technically Catholic but e.g. one year my eldest gave up poppadoms for Lent, one year, she really focussed on saying her “l”s and “gl”s… I try to avoid the 5 grains over Passover usually but don’t inflict my traditions on others. And this year we’d just moved house, were at 6s and 7s, and I was cracking up with stress anyway. Making my life extra-complicated just wasn’t on the cards (“live by these commandments = don’t damage your health for them”).
There it is! I had forgotten. Joyce is (I think) trying to make the point that “I am reaching out to you because you are important.” She said the words, but the gesture amplifies it.
It’s also something that might make Dorothy stop rushing for a moment to think. Which might be useful for Joyce’s purpose, and would be a good thing anyway.
Dorothy’s family is Catholic-Jewish but I get the feeling it’s been several generations since either side was particularly devout. At least her parents don’t actively practice anything and encouraged her to make her own choices about religion.
I am prettys sure given Robin’s proclivity to hand off her work to Jason to teach a class Dotty could probably ask Becky to ask Robin to give her a student TA position it’s probably unpaid but undergrad TAs are a thing though usually they are upperclassman.
I shouldn’t say proclivity beacuse she did it once but she does seem like she wants to avoid doing work to hang out with Leslie whether Leslie wants to or not.
Panel 3 is Joyce being the friend she wishes Dorothy was. Dorothy’s always been overextending herself, and not using time to just be friends hanging out. She treats Joyce like a mentee or project. She can be better.
She started to have a revelation, and it scared her.
If Joementum wasn’t her rock bottom, I’m wondering how bad it’s going to be. I bet she shaves her head. That’s the emotion that’s resonating for me, having an identity crisis, looking in the mirror, flashes of frustration and disappointment with ones self, wanting to be a different version of yourself, with a blank slate.
It’ll turn out that the guys and gals were shooting a very specific 5-way porno and needed someone who could convincingly play the part of “Woman who’s trying to study over here, you guys, and is also naked because her clothes are in the wash and she’s Very Focused”.
Twitter doesn’t seem like such a great place for artists, designers, scientists, and other people I follow anymore.
I’m on Mastodon and Tumblr. The former feels like a new planetary colony, the latter I don’t know what to think. But I love all the SPOP, Owl House and Ducktales art.
well, it’s slightly better than her trying to break up joe & joyce
Tho if anything her being busy/on a path to burn out probably might lead to her leaning on joyce for emotional support, she does seem fairly well adjusted otherwise but i imagine growing up even tho she did date danny, and not necessarily anti social or anything i guess she never rly had a ‘close friend’ or anything like that or maybe everyone’s used to hearing her say “sorry i’m busy studying” (Tho who knows, even tho she’s not considered a ‘genius’ necessarily or advanced to where she skipped 2-3 grades/would be younger, maybe before college she was skilled enough to be ahead and have more time to be sociable)
garlic. Garlic is cruise control for cool. Then basil or smoked paprika or cayenne pepper. And vegetables: a brassica, one or more solonaceae, mushrooms. Maybe shrimps or crawdads or salmon.
went to the grocery store while hungry so I decided “why not fancy mac and cheese tonight?” But they didn’t have crawdads, so not that fancy unless other store has them. also I’m on a restricted diet and have to wait until tomorrow anyways.
If it’s just Kraft or other boxed stuff, then just some light salt. Not averse to pepper, but don’t often bother. But I also only really prep it as part of a larger meal for several people when family (including children) are visiting, so I’m usually juggling enough I don’t want to add to the fuss.
Wait, is that why you always mention adding mustard? I didn’t know it’d make the Mac taste like sharp cheddar, this is gonna need to be investigated later tonight.
My absolute favorite speedy home cooked nostalgia dinner is cheap boxed M&C, ground beef all crumbled and whatnot, and an entire can of sweet peas. If I’m feeling seductive that night, I’ll add something like raspberry chipotle or Sriracha garlic powder.
I have fallen out of love with tuna as a food- that one single thing seems to taste super different to me now- and mac and cheese is a nice simple safe comfort food by itself.
Food yeast will give it some of the umami that the cheese normally has. Mayo or Ailoli for the texture of cheese. Or use plain egg yolks, like in carbonara (shortly after the elbows come off the water, while they’re still hot, stir in about 1-2 egg yolks per serving. The heat from the pasta will cook the yolk some, but not to the point of them being solid).

I’d like to apologise for my extremely disrespected comment yesterday. I should have known better, and I’ve taken steps to correct the behavior. I’m sorry for referring to Tim Drake as “Matt” during my in-depth analysis of the various Robins featured in DC Comics.
I’ve got this really weird thought in my head that Joyce’s deconversion might be the life experience that lets her give solid advice to Dorothy about what she’s going through now.
… of course, it’s Dumbing of Age, so either that won’t happen or Dorothy won’t listen.
Also, the poll “Robin’s TA?” could be read as a YN-question, in the spirit of “Am I The Asshole?” on Reddit, which offers the possible anwers NTA, YTA, NAH.
If random pol-sci profs give TAs to random guys, doubling down is illogical, it’s going in the opposite direction of what is required. Dorothy should be able to grasp the logic of the situation. She is dumbing really fast.
Right direction in this context would be to surround yourself with people who can get you into power regardless of qualifications. If part of Dorothy’s strategy is networking with new people then yes but if she’s just becoming more research minded at the expense of socialization she’s just making things work for herself.
Radiahs plan is to put most of her eggs in the nepotism basket. It could work though She’s she doesn’t seem to even care if the people she surrounds herself with are competent.
Did Dorothy already give up her dream of being president? What’s she doing worrying about anything to do with poli-sci? She’s working double time going in circles
She became disillusioned with that dream, so she lost her North Star. Now she’s spinning her wheels, not knowing what she wants but focusing all the effort she can muster into whatever that may be regardless.
Dorothy decided that drinking one bottle is enough for the whole stage of rebounding from the bottom and she is back on the old tracks with double strength
I’m sorry to hear that. Diabetes is so hard to deal with.
…What about some low-carb alternatives, like steamed cauliflower with cheezy sauce (baked like a casserole) or those chick pea macaroni noodles? I know it’s not exactly like the original, but could be fun anyway.
I was confuzzled for a minute. “Wait, do some Christians do that too?” Then I remembered she might be considering doing a Jewish thing because Joe is Jewish.
“Just call me Tom Bodett from Motel 6!”
Dorothy no
She’s gonna self-destruct/have a nervous breakdown if she keeps on this path, yeah. :/
DOROTHY YESSSS!!
Dorothy if you were really committed to doubling down you’d have emailed Yale back already.
A high pressure school like Yale would accelerate the tailspin she’s in so it’s a good thing she hasn’t.
Is Yale high pressure? Harvard isn’t. Brown isn’t.
Most of the tech schools are high pressure. Ivies not so much.
If you define “pressure” solely as, I dunno, math problems, and not “everyone around me was selected because they’re supposedly the best of the best and I feel like I’m barely keeping up.” Which seems weird to me, especially based on the accounts of the Ivy league grads I know.
The rich legacies are fine no matter what their grades are.
Yale must have their fair share of those.
Seriously.
oh, hey, she’s learning things about Judaism, neat
Ooooooooooor her family was the type of fundiegelical to cosplay Jews during Passover/Easter. Could really go either way, couldn’t it.
Based on earlier comments made by Joyce and her family, I don’t think they really had a clear idea of how modern Judaism works growing up. The “leave a glass out for Elijah” thing is a rabbinical tradition, not a Biblical one

Oooohh, so that’s who’s coming to dinner! That answers the question someone asked the other day!
transition from cosplay passover to grokking Judaism in process.
Working even harder? Her grades aren’t even slipping. This definitely isn’t a red flag. Nope.
It’s been like two weeks? I doubt most of her classes have even issued grades.
She’s not top of the class, which she’s “supposed to” be on her mental self-worth resume.
(What is Dorothy doing? Is she giving up? Doubling down? Still trying to be President without going to Yale?)
Do you want ants?
Because that’s how you get ants.
They’ll be Joyce’s new best friends. Virtually indistinguishable from Dorothy as they’re both hard-working, constantly on the move, and can lift up to fifty times their own body weight.
And destined to be president! …well, I for one welcome our new insect overlords.
They’re always here to mess up any day.
When they’re around every camper gets thinner,
’cause if they get the chance they will take your food away.
And are also entirely commited to a system that they never took the trouble to qustion. PERFECT MATCH!
Oof, Dorothy’s really going, “The problem is that I’m not burnt out enough.”
“If I just keep burning I’ll turn into charcoal, then I triple the pressure and it’s nothing but diamonds! BRILLIANT!”
Dorothy’s problem is she thinks anyone cares about grades.
She’s already killed her sole reason to have a massive GPA.
(goddammit, I misclicked and flagged this post. This is like the third time, I don’t know why this happens.)
Grades are important if you’re planning to pursue grad school, but if you’re not, then yeah, employers just care that you graduated.
If it were up to me, I’d make Dotty a food that’d make Joyce flip — mac and cheese dog. 😋
Also, Dotty no don’t push yourself too hard. 😢
Dorothy sweetie you’re going to crash and burn at this rate
Plane is already stalled, engine is already on fire

Please allow me to introduce myself, I’m a man of wealth and taste…

She’s already crashed.
To me the scary thing isn’t that she is running headlong towards the cliff to rock bottom (that plunge seems like it was always inevitable), but rather that she is now pushing her friends away again, burning her safety net when she needs it most.
Sigh… Dorothy, she’s trying to poly with you. She was before, but now it’s with Joe.
But they are already in Poli-Sci together and what would Joe add?
His dick, probably.
He also has stubble.
I can actually see that working. After the guided masterbation session, it’s a hard sell to say Dorothy’s as straight as she believes. Find the right guy and I can see them pulling a throuple off.
I thought Poly without informed consent of all parties was bad form?
Cheating. The word you’re looking for is “cheating”.
I mean, Joyce was very clear with Dorothy that she’s already in a relationship with Joe.
She would still need to negotiate her potential Dorothy-relationship with Joe though.
thisisgonnasuck.gif
Joyce is a sweetheart.
I am concerned about Dorothy, but I mean, we knew this was going to happen with her. I also kind of wonder if she would have even *wanted* Barry or Jason’s job, but I get this is a matter of principle to a degree.
I think academia’s potentially a good fit for Dorothy. Lots of relatively straightforward benchmarks for how you’re doing, compared to other jobs.
Academia will exploit the hell out of Dorothy’s brain
Was Joyce’s cult one of those Christan sects that celebrated passover and have a sedar? Beacuse it’s cool to attend and particpate in a sedar of a Jewish friend or family it is not cool for Christans to host their own sedar. It seems to be a thing that is being done and it’s cultural appropriation.

Joyce nobody in this general vicinity would get that reference.
I got the reference
Yeah, but where are you in relation to Joyce? Checkmate.
Given that Joyce isn’t real and she is in a comic that is in close proximity! KING ME!
Actually, I think Dotty is Jewish? Not religious but still a Jew or at least some Jewish ancestry.
There it is! I had forgotten. Joyce is (I think) trying to make the point that “I am reaching out to you because you are important.” She said the words, but the gesture amplifies it.

This oughta start some domino/butterfly effect, which means I can instantly blame Robin! Hooray!
If Dorothy every slips and/or doubts, come back to today.
The slipping and doubting has demonstrably already begun
No Dotty, don’t invest more energy in a strategy that’s obviously not working!
Reminder to the comments that Joe is Jewish. She’s obviously had a big reason to read up. (Pun intended)

Yup. Dorothy’s doing the thing where you’re trying to squeeze new information into your old worldview.
Dorothy is going to wake up naked surrounded by two guys, three girls and four completely finished dissertations
It’ll turn out that the guys and gals were shooting a very specific 5-way porno and needed someone who could convincingly play the part of “Woman who’s trying to study over here, you guys, and is also naked because her clothes are in the wash and she’s Very Focused”.
Joyce…no. For so many reasons no.
And I’m sure this won’t backfire for Dorothy at all!
Fuuuuuck i hate not being able to scroll through Willis’s tweets on the side panel, uuuuuugggghhh
RIP Twitter. I hear Mastodon is good. And Mark Zuckerberg is copying twitter now in addition to iMessage, Snap, and TikTok.
Tumblr n Discord 4 me, i still waitin on my BlueSky.social invite T_T
Allegedly, everything you post on Bluesky automatically becomes @jack’s property.
Wait source?
Carrier Pidgeons and beepers! They’re coming back!
After roughly a third of a century.
I’m on Mastodon. A great idea to bee honest: a descentralized social network.
Wow, Dorothy that was cold.
well, it’s slightly better than her trying to break up joe & joyce
Cold? She busy dealing with internal turmoil, I don’t blame her really. 😢
Yeah, I doubt that she’s fully aware of what she is saying right now.
…Would anyone be up for a game?
It’s an old game. We’ve played it before. But it’s always fun to get a new take on an old theme.
Here’s the question:
Dorothy likes to put pepper on her Mac n Cheese. What do you like to put on yours?
I can go first:
Olive oil, nutritional yeast, garlic, curry powder, and steamed broccoli.
Oh, or, penny hotdogs fried in butter.
garlic. Garlic is cruise control for cool. Then basil or smoked paprika or cayenne pepper. And vegetables: a brassica, one or more solonaceae, mushrooms. Maybe shrimps or crawdads or salmon.
Is that an antique meme, or am I dying.
WOW!!! You are a gourmet Mac n Cheese chef!
went to the grocery store while hungry so I decided “why not fancy mac and cheese tonight?” But they didn’t have crawdads, so not that fancy unless other store has them. also I’m on a restricted diet and have to wait until tomorrow anyways.
Good luck tomorrow!
If it’s just Kraft or other boxed stuff, then just some light salt. Not averse to pepper, but don’t often bother. But I also only really prep it as part of a larger meal for several people when family (including children) are visiting, so I’m usually juggling enough I don’t want to add to the fuss.
So true, that!
hotdogs for extra protein, mustard to make it taste like sharp cheddar 😋
thick and creamy mac and cheese on a hotdog = perfect comfort food 🥰
Wait, is that why you always mention adding mustard? I didn’t know it’d make the Mac taste like sharp cheddar, this is gonna need to be investigated later tonight.
Dish delish! :-9
Mustard makes everything taste better, but especially cheese!
Mmm… yowie Kazooie! Ohh la la!
More cheese. Possibly also more noodles.
I have fallen out of love with tuna as a food- that one single thing seems to taste super different to me now- and mac and cheese is a nice simple safe comfort food by itself.
Oh definitely! We all need a taste of safety.
I don’t put anything on my mac & cheese. It’s mac & cheese, it’s good by itself.
Agreed.
Huzzah for the original!
Yes! “Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”
I can’t eat Mac and Cheese. I’m allergic to cheese! My brother and friends never put anything on it though.
Macaroni noodles and margarine, a little salt, can be a lovely cheese-less formulation. Just a thought.
Oh for sure! I love macaroni. Mine is just cheese-less and therefore cannot be called Mac and cheese XD.
That’s very true.
I am Canadian. We take our Mac and cheese seriously.
Wow, great ideas!
undercooked eggs caveat: they’re usually fine, but there’s a non-zero risk. https://ask.usda.gov/s/article/Who-is-at-risk-for-eating-raw-or-undercooked-eggs
Sliced and sautéed polish sausage, maybe some broccoli.
Ooh, yummers!
big dotty burnout comin soon
also since twitter dead
dare to be stupid with a dude named fucking wreck-gar speaking in Australian TV
the transformers movie is a religious experience
like i hate to use the buzzword but, SOUL
I’d like to apologise for my extremely disrespected comment yesterday. I should have known better, and I’ve taken steps to correct the behavior. I’m sorry for referring to Tim Drake as “Matt” during my in-depth analysis of the various Robins featured in DC Comics.
I’ve got this really weird thought in my head that Joyce’s deconversion might be the life experience that lets her give solid advice to Dorothy about what she’s going through now.
… of course, it’s Dumbing of Age, so either that won’t happen or Dorothy won’t listen.
“Doubling down didn’t work because I didn’t double down hard enough!”
– Dorothy, probably
Aw kiddo, that only leads to exponential down growth, and that’s only a good thing if you run a goose farm.
Dorothy is going to burn out hard and possibly even fail out at this rate
Oh dear.
Commenters *almost* had me convinced Robin had all her bases covered, but nope… letting Jason be TA while unqualified is still a shitty thing.
Also, the poll “Robin’s TA?” could be read as a YN-question, in the spirit of “Am I The Asshole?” on Reddit, which offers the possible anwers NTA, YTA, NAH.
The fact that it’s all based on connections and under the table deals is passing right above her head eh ?
If random pol-sci profs give TAs to random guys, doubling down is illogical, it’s going in the opposite direction of what is required. Dorothy should be able to grasp the logic of the situation. She is dumbing really fast.
Extinction burst. This behavior used to work so I must not be behaving hard enough.
… so she’s going in the right direction for a future in politics?
…
… yeah, that checks out.
Right direction in this context would be to surround yourself with people who can get you into power regardless of qualifications. If part of Dorothy’s strategy is networking with new people then yes but if she’s just becoming more research minded at the expense of socialization she’s just making things work for herself.
Isn’t that Raidah’s plan?
Burnout speedrun any%
I thought it was more about distracting herself from her urges to steal Walky from Lucy.
Now all I can think of is if Joyce doesn’t put pepper on her food. And if white pepper, almost invisible, is more acceptable.
Dorothy leaving Joyce behind. Joyce remembering her friend that she won’t left her behind, even getting Joe as boyfriend.
In a way or another, everything in today strip is kind of sad.
Genuinely amazed she knows about Eliyahu haNavi. Wonder is she know he also shows up to each bris
Thank you. That’s two interesting traditions I’ve learned today.
…Damnit, now I want Mac.
Stupid diabetes….
Good luck finding something fun to eat!
I love Joyce actually ✡️💙💪
I was confuzzled for a minute. “Wait, do some Christians do that too?” Then I remembered she might be considering doing a Jewish thing because Joe is Jewish.
I can’t be the only one who went to the gutter when Joyce said “making mac and cheese”
