Dina didn’t have a flash drive handy and borrowed one of Amber’s. Her notes will get accidentally uploaded to her fanfic site, and Amber won’t realize until she suddenly has a billion hits.
So, ok lot’s of stories nowadays try to make this whole “let’s talk abt sex and boundaries and consent without actually doing it” thing sexy… but this is the first one I see that SUCCEEDED
Becky isn’t entirely sure sex is ever really consensual, and certainly thinks it isn’t controllable – particularly not if queer – which is kind of where I thought this might be going after yesterday’s strip.
This is some fundamentalist horror show anti-sexuality (and anti-LGBTQ) propaganda she’s got to work through here.
I maintain that this brand of repression can create a mental “but if I’m forced to, God won’t hold me accountable” thought process, which can cause disappointment when your partner actually maintains the boundaries you verbally established (as required by your faith.)
This is at least the second time I have seen that reflected in Becky.
Yes, and this is one of the obstacles in getting everyone clear that “no” means no. Or better, that only “yes” means yes.
As we want everyone to understand “no” when they hear “no”, we’ve all got to stop teaching people to say “no” when they mean “yes”. That whole culture of coy flirtation was a disaster area.
But if I don’t tell my partner “No” when I mean “Yes”, how can I justify passive-aggressively shaming them for never touching me and build up a silent resentment of them for their secret cheating that they must be doing because how else could they resist the signals I’m going out of my way not to send????
Ugh. I hate it when people say something different from what they mean and somehow expect me to figure out, maybe through telepathy or something, what they really meant.
I think it’s at least 80% realization that she’s been making a mountain out of a molehill, and MAYBE 20% some sexual role-play fantasy of hers withdrawing from the light of reason, hissing and shielding its face in pain.
But Dina can also change her mind if she wishes. And I hope she does, ‘cos I’m sure Becky and I aren’t the only ones who’d like to hear Dina talking scientifically dirty. 😀
I wonder how she is framing that in her mind. If she had her time over she would definitely lock the door — so she hasn’t framed the whole thing as a terrible mistake and awful sin. How far did she think that adventure was going to go?
The flashback sequence to that happened over multiple days. No reason to think they were caught more than kissing or that it would have immediately escalated farther than that.
Had it continued,Becky likely would have run into basically the same problem she’s running into here, but it would have been over weeks or months not that day.
I remember when I found out Joyce was a little busty. Suddenly my output of Joyces skyrocketed!.
Now that I think about it so is Liz. Must be something about religious upbringings. Something’s in that communion juice.
This is really good for Becky, all clear communication pushing her to think about what her desires really are. There’s something beautiful about when someone breaks through the programming and says you’re allowed to consider what you’re considering without fear.
The only reason I know I’m trans right now is because my best friend said I’m allowed to be trans, sometimes you need someone else to guide you to a place where you can figure things out.
This is so sweet and so good. I know this likely won’t work out between them for compatability issues but this is a really good relationship for both learning h9w to have a relationship and care about somebody. This is most wholesome horny hormones I’ve ever seen.
I am slightly disappointed but not surprised, but at least Becky is learning some stuff about sex
I was hoping Dina would jump Becky and do a surprise reverso, but now I wonder how it’s gonna continue
Can we teach this in general? The fact that you are aroused but aren’t going to attack anyone seems like it should be general knowledge, or made to be general knowledge. (Not saying that you can’t have sexy dreams or something later, but that is completely different from being “unable to stop yourself” from doing something physical.)
Dina has just taught Becky this about herself, as well as about Dina… Which is kinda heartbreaking in a way, that Becky honestly didn’t understand she had self control…
Considering how it is often portrayed in media, books, or even excuses in real life (aka you shouldn’t have worn those clothes and other such things), it isn’t really surprising to me. I find it odd that not crying in public (something that can be pretty hard to do depending on the situation and person) is more of a social norm for guys than other forms of self control, especially since other forms can get more physical with someone else.
That being said, I do suppose that it is possible to get too caught up in the heat of the moment and push things a little too far. Something along the lines of mob/crowd mentality, or even something playful like pushing each other that ends up being a little too hard (though I think that is more common with kids than adults). One has to do with crowd emotions spreading, while the other I think tends to come with instant regret (immaturity or lack of knowledge or experience on boundaries) and/or an overly conscious regard for the other person’s opinion (as in following along or not wanting to upset them, etc.). Taking the time to teach boundaries, how to know them in yourself, and respect them in others seems like a worthwhile thing to spend time on.
This is just me personally but rather than a lack of self control I feel like there’s this…expectation for men to “take the lead”. Like “You’re gonna have to make initiate or else nothing is gonna happen.” Which kinda makes guys feel like pushing further and more is their responsibility and not like…a mutual activity. Sometimes people feel awkward having that “sit down” where they lay out ground rules because they feel like it should be obvious. Like “oh I know all about how this works, I’m a grown up”. But setting ground rules at the start can help you goin’ forward and frank discussions of what you want can make the whole proccess WAY easier.
This is an aspect of toxic masculinity that is rarely commented on but does enormous damage if you don’t want to be pursued by men. The idea that a woman will never take initiative so a man should hit on anyone he finds attractive is damaging to all genders.
Oh, we can “demand” stuff? Well, definitely more messy hair, please! Also, please let us know when Sal & Danny stop singing & start kissing. Thank you!
I gotta wonder what it’s gonna be like if Becky ever engages with a character who doesn’t do the character development for her.
That’s not really supposed to be a complaint about the writing, if it sounds as such. I feel it’s a textual element to Becky’s character that the people around her solve her problems for her, and I wanna see what’ll happen when Becky has a problem, either one she’s causing or one she’s had enforced onto her, that Dina or Dorothy or Leslie or Joyce don’t gently assure her out of it. The dichotomy between how she treats Dorothy and Joyce versus how they and Dina treat her feels night and day, and I do think that’s a textual element to her character both in how Becky gets perceived by them as a victim to protect, and how this causes Becky to emotionally rely on them. When you grow up in a home with an abusive authority, you don’t just become emotionally dependent on unconditional love, it kind of makes you helpless in dealing with emotional problems when there’s someone who’s supposed to talk to you about them and teach you how to deal with them, and then they just don’t.
I’m not crazy, right? Am I merely high on my supply of Becky Haterade?
Becky gets perceived by them as a victim to protect
More precisely, I think Joyce and Dorothy think of Becky along these lines, but with Dina it’s probably more accurate to say that she just tries to confront Becky’s problems as straightforwardly as possible while being supportive and repeatedly checking for her.
I think you’re dead on and it highlights why the Becky-Dorothy “rivalry” is so tedious to me. Dorothy’s always handling her with kid gloves and making excuses about how it’s only a joke in good fun. Meanwhile Becky gets to be as nasty as she likes. Maybe the Joyce-Becky argument will be a storyline where she has to confront some hard truths and grow a bit.

Dina taking copious notes, as promised
SO MANY NOTES. This will all turn out to be data for her future Doctoral Thesis!
Dina didn’t have a flash drive handy and borrowed one of Amber’s. Her notes will get accidentally uploaded to her fanfic site, and Amber won’t realize until she suddenly has a billion hits.
She’s not just screwin’ around.
Not… Yet…
Well of course. It’s only science if you take notes whilst you’re doing it!
…or something like that. 😉
Well, something has to be taken down for posterity. Videos, recordings, brain downloads – something that can be studied later.
>Something has to be taken down for posterity…
Becky: How about pants?
xD
Dina:
I’m changing my major to Becky!
So, ok lot’s of stories nowadays try to make this whole “let’s talk abt sex and boundaries and consent without actually doing it” thing sexy… but this is the first one I see that SUCCEEDED
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! SO BRIGHT!!!!
SO NOSTALGIC!!! SO UPLIFTING!! SO SOOTHING!!!
😭😭😭😭😭😭
🌌🌈 BEHOLD DINA: THE EMPRESS OF EVOLUTION!!! 🌈🌌
*plays “Miracle Tears by Shinji Miyazaki on Hacked Muzak*
To nit pick about minutiæ, I’m pretty sure it’s not just any arbitrary “Hacked Muzak” but rather “THE Hacked Muzak”.
The hyper-link is appreciated though.
I don’t mind. Usually I don’t capitalize “hacked” because it’s not a “proper” name, but Muzak is. But I don’t police that choice either.
Agreed.
This strip needs to be mandatory reading for all humans. Especially those between the ages of 11 and 25. Repeatedly. Until it freaking sticks.
Ey, at least it’s not like cats in heat kind of situation
It’s all incomplete baseball. No home runs, no scoring home.
As was the question yesterday, how far will they go? Hopefully Slipshine worthy, even if Becky’s “chastity” remains intact.
Relatedly, I wonder what Becky will do if they inadvertently “go too far” and suddenly religion rears its ugly head.
This was meant to be a standalone comment, not a reply, but we’re here now.
That will eventually happen, even if that “too far” leaves Becky’s “chastity” intact, considering the nature of this comic.
BTW, there is a distinction between “chastity” and “virginity”. Make sure you know the difference.
We did actually have a Slipshine in which no actual sex or even touching occurred
They DID project their thoughts quite graphically, mind you
Not sure if Becky’s face in panel 4 is a look of realization, or one of disappointment.
I read it as the latter.
I see realization. She just unlearned some abstinence-only fear-mongering, it’s all for the good.
Exactly this.
Yup. She usually just stomps fundie shame back down into the dirt when it pops up, it’s good for her to finally confront it.
(Maybe this will also help her understand Joyce better, in a “oh this is what she’s throwing out” kind of way.)
I maintain that this brand of repression can create a mental “but if I’m forced to, God won’t hold me accountable” thought process, which can cause disappointment when your partner actually maintains the boundaries you verbally established (as required by your faith.)

“Coy” destroyed my last marriage. Let it die.
But if I don’t tell my partner “No” when I mean “Yes”, how can I justify passive-aggressively shaming them for never touching me and build up a silent resentment of them for their secret cheating that they must be doing because how else could they resist the signals I’m going out of my way not to send????
Feature, not bug.
Ugh. I hate it when people say something different from what they mean and somehow expect me to figure out, maybe through telepathy or something, what they really meant.
Can confirm, 100%.
I think it’s at least 80% realization that she’s been making a mountain out of a molehill, and MAYBE 20% some sexual role-play fantasy of hers withdrawing from the light of reason, hissing and shielding its face in pain.
Given that she’s explicitly commented on it before, I suspect there’s a lot of that fantasy withdrawing.
Realization that Dina’s talk about scientific experimenting was for real, not a foreplay narrative.
Why can’t it be both?
Yeah, form dirty hypotheses for me baby! 😀
It can’t be both because Dina says so. And Dina is more powerful than God.
But Dina can also change her mind if she wishes. And I hope she does, ‘cos I’m sure Becky and I aren’t the only ones who’d like to hear Dina talking scientifically dirty. 😀
I wonder which boundaries Becky would have explored with her roommate at her previous college had they not left the door open?
I wonder how she is framing that in her mind. If she had her time over she would definitely lock the door — so she hasn’t framed the whole thing as a terrible mistake and awful sin. How far did she think that adventure was going to go?
The flashback sequence to that happened over multiple days. No reason to think they were caught more than kissing or that it would have immediately escalated farther than that.
Had it continued,Becky likely would have run into basically the same problem she’s running into here, but it would have been over weeks or months not that day.
Dina just might attack Becky.
Or at least LOOK like it’s gonna happen. Why else would Willis warn us to “guard our loins” this coming Valentine’s Day?
Only if Becky asks her to :3
Only if she asks. Personally I’d love if a girl pounced on me.
Me too. 😛
It’s terribly exciting when it happens.
Unless they start eating your flesh.
Well actually that’d be pretty exciting as well.
Oooo! Then you’re gonna love something….
And this is the closest Willis will ever get to making a Dina Slipshine
You might be right for NOW, but even if not now, maybe he’ll release one at least during or after this summer. Or next year. One of those. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fine. *puts on infinity gauntlet*
I’ll do it myself.
Hey, would you like some anti-gamma pills with that? Unless you wanna end up like Iron Man, rest his legacy.
No one ever said Yotomoe was human…
The gauntlet’s just for show, anyway. If anything, it slows the drawing hand down!
That’s why I wear it on my left hand, to hold the paper down.
These gay dorks make me so happy 😭
More than ever!!! It’s like watching an Aurora Borealis!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!! 😭😭😭
The Aurora Borealis?
At this time of day?
In this part of the Internet?
Confined to these comments?
Can I see it?
LOL to the thread.
i think theyre gonna be ookkkaaayyyy
Dina with her hair down is so super cute. Also is it just me or does Becky look a little busty?
It’s the impact from the sudden fall, she’s merely a little discomboobulated.
Boooooooooo(bs).
Becky’s always been a little busty. Girls got curves
I remember when I found out Joyce was a little busty. Suddenly my output of Joyces skyrocketed!.
Now that I think about it so is Liz. Must be something about religious upbringings. Something’s in that communion juice.
The number of sweet Christian girls that have broken my little black heart really backs that claim up.
This is a great way to demonstrate that point, Dina. I’m sure Becky gives it a 10/10.
She’d give more than a ten if her higher brain functions weren’t being used on her horniness.
Damn, those hairs tho
This is possibly the most adorable way to convince someone makeouts are not gonna be scary.
These two dorks are so doomed.
Dina remains the best

Oh!!! To save people from a possible TRIGGER,
“in contemporary speech it refers to wanting passionate, consensual intercourse with a person”
I love these two. Glad Dina gets this, that she trusts Becky and can express that to Becky.
TYPO: should be “threatening,” but you have Dina saying “theatening [sic].”
This is really good for Becky, all clear communication pushing her to think about what her desires really are. There’s something beautiful about when someone breaks through the programming and says you’re allowed to consider what you’re considering without fear.

🤣🤣🤣 Sweet yo! Great work!
Can Joe resist these temptresses? Find out on the expisode of Yotomoe Z!
*plays “Dragon Ball Kai Next Episode Preview”*
If the story proceeds as slowly as DBZ does, he’ll get to touch them in about a half-hour.
WHICH WILL TAKE THREE SEASONS TO GET TO
Knowing Liz and Joyce I think 3 seasons to touch their boobs seems about right actually.
Do those emphasis lines in panel three have a term? I can’t find anything in the Lexicon of Comicana to cover it.
o3o Can’t say that I know. I just thought “hmm…how do I make them pop to emphasize that it’s a very appealing thing to see. Ah, lines, of course.
Maybe they’re just glow lines. Joyce got the holy rack. Or unholy considering her current religious stance.
Dina knows exactly what she is doing. My god.
Science.
EYYYYY Dina pointed out part of what I pointed out yesterday.
Also yes thank god Becky is apparently actually willing to do this. GOOD. THIS IS HOW HEALING BEGINS.
More so than you think.
The stress release that comes with sexual release can have TONS of physiological and cognitive benefits!

Do enjoy on Sunday, with your Sundae, and listening to V.S. Sunday!!! 😆😆😆
This arc has really broke the dam on your drawing block, hasn’t it?
It could be, though this one was a request.
More importantly TMI
I’ve just been like…really horny these past couple weeks.and just wanted to share that energy with everyone. Can we teach this in general? Yeah! And I want to watch the most beautiful, powerful dinosaur when it’s feeding time!
The literal feeding time! When she’s feeding on meat!
This is not sarcasm.
Why should we wait until time travel is invented?
I, too, enjoy watching golden eagles feast on their prey.
You can always demand things, just as you can always call spirits from the vasty deep.
Why so can I, so can any man;
But do they come when you call them?
Ok but what about singing with kissing between songs? Or even during the instrumental segments.
If Danny can keep playing while kissing Sal, he’s probably gay after all.
I dunno, the Ukulele’s not a complex instrument. I could probably keep playing while someone kisses me. Especially a C chord.
You have to be on Patreon to “demand” things from DYW.
Huh… Dina with her hair like that reminds me of Midori Asakusa from Eizouken.
That was super sweet. All this to show Becky she’s in control of herself, urges or no. Which she knew, but didn’t think of until right this point.
God DAMN, Willis. I didn’t think you could make Dina any more sexy than she was in It’s Walky.
And now this. I gotta wipe the blood off my keyboard and the iced tea off my screen.
I’d dare say that hat + disheveled hair is even more dangerous than no hat.
Pretty sure Dina speaks with the same tone as Lt. Data from star trek
She is aroused within established parameters.
wonder what would happen if she slid those straps off?
This is reality good. Sweet and delicate.
Becky seems… disappointed.
Was Becky thought that she wouldn’t have self control or her future partner wouldn’t.
i mean its a pretty common thing for Fundies to believe that people have no self control and only the presence of god watching you is what stops society from descending into a hellhole of debauchery and murder. Whilst becky likely realises that not true on a logical level the conditioning is strong
Has Willis ever stated an opinion on NSFW fanart? Asking for a friend
I mean, people have posted it directly here in the comments (twice today, even).
It sure would be inconvenient for me to find out Willis absolutely hated it.
Take as much notes as you need, Dina, so long as you use them in your Master’s Thesis, titled, “Things that give my girlfriend pants euphoria”.
I have been known to describe myself as “comically het,” which is true. But not today. Damn, Dina, I’d test hypotheses with you.
Horny Dina is best Dina. De gustibus non est disputandum.
But damn Becky, she’s asking you to ravish her, can’t you just a little?
