I’ve never had the right kind of snow to make snow angels(or pteranodons) or really do anything with it. We had snow a few weeks ago that actually was decent-ish.
My dad says we’ve had snow maybe four times in his lifetime where I live and never enough to actually settle on the ground. I feel terminally deprived.
You never hear about the downsides like shoveling, black ice, rock salt, and the snowplow leaving a gigantic rock-hard berm at the end of the driveway you just shoveled because Big Snow has popular culture in its vest pocket.
Yeah, snow is only fun when you don’t have to deal with the adult stuff like scraping the windshields and windows on your car or shoveling the driveway.
Getting a snowblower was the best investment ever! No longer have to shovel that crap! 😛 At least, most of it. Still need to shovel the areas where the snowblower doesn’t reach, like the front steps, etc.
As an Aussie living in ” the sunshine state” the only time I’ve ever seen snow was when I was 10 and mum took my sister and me to the blue mountains. I tried to start a snowball fight with my sister. It was ice. There were many concussions to be had that week.
I’m in the middle of a nor’easter right now. The local meteorologists were basically shrugging at this one; they were predicting anywhere from two inches to two feet (depending on who you asked and when). Turns out both estimates weren’t too far off depending on where you measure, because the rain/snow line was unusually chaotic. If the cold front made it a few miles further out, we would’ve been buried.
I can’t believe Sarah was being serious when she made the comment about snow angels. Also, Dina continues to be the best. Now, what could ruin this perfect moment?
Telling Dina that a pteranodon was not a dinosaur. Since it was capable of powered flight – i.e., it could flap its wings and create lift – and its forelimbs stretch out to the sides, it is not a true dinosaur but a distant cousin to the dinosaurs.
I feel like Dina is smart enough and well versed in dinosaur knowledge to know that pteranodons are not true dinosaurs. She may just have a thing for all dinosaurs/near-dinosaur creatures.
Wasn’t there a comic where Dina was doing guard duty (keeping people from bothering Amber) by demanding people state their favorite dinosaur. When Ethan suggested a pteranodon, Dina slammed the door, then stuck a printout of the wiki page for pterosaur under the door.
2. Willis, did you give Dina a warm winter version of the Dinosaur Hat so that the Animal Crossing pattern you’ve made of it is no longer slightly inaccurate since they only allow knit hats and not beanies in New Horizons, or is that a happy bonus? (I ask because admittedly, yes, that inaccuracy DOES bother me. I want a close-to-the-head beanie option, darn it!)
She’s wearing her usual hat (or something identical in color) under the knit one, but it has the eyes and nose, and the teeth hang off the bottom of the hat, they’re not part of the main body, which means they’re attached to the upper hat. So yes, she has an outdoor winter version of Dino Hat to go along with Normal Dino Hat, and is probably wearing both. (I wonder what other variants she has. Wide-brimmed summer dino hat? Dino balaclava for when the wind’s particularly strong?)
Ermm, Dina’s boots don’t look like they got that high up on her legs, so, nor, except for how far down her snow.wings extend, does it appear that she has disproptianate arms to legs, yet those same wings are far too close to her ankles.
it was like a Care Bears movie before I learned about the leg part
I have Snow Pteranodoned my entire life

Pfft. All these people talking about snow like it was an actual thing.
Yeah, snow is only fun when you don’t have to deal with the adult stuff like scraping the windshields and windows on your car or shoveling the driveway.

I’m essentially snowed in right now due to ice. Delightful, let me tell you.
Does that make the lockdown better, worse or just meh?
Or just the frickin’ cold in general.
**has the snow to make snow angels RIGHT NOW**
… trust me, it isn’t as magical as it looks.
I also have SO MANY SNOW
rn all I’m using it for is melting it down for not-tap water for my Venus’s flytrap
*you guys are getting snow? Meme*

Wh-what leg part?
Wholesome. Which is good because I think we all needed a palette cleanser after all this newspaper comic shenanigans.

Close, he suggested pterodactyl, and thus got the pterodactyl wiki article shoved by an angry Dina. His fault for defaulting to T. Rex.

Ask Dina about Dimetrodon.
I kind of want to tell Dina that my favourite dinosaurs are Penguins and see how she responds…
Dina definitely knows this already.
So, kind of a Dina-soar, instead?
Well more of a Dyna-soar. : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_X-20_Dyna-Soar
Probably too difficult to make a snow velociraptor though.
She never said it was a dinosaur.
That would be like explaining physics to Isaac Newton, or soul to Isaac Hayes.
Given the social context, dinosaur-adjacent prehistoric creatures are acceptable.
There are and were true dinosaurs capable of powered flight
What timeline do you live in to have dinosaurs roaming around?
Ours, though I haven’t seen many the last couple days with all the snow.
Got plenty of dinos still around where I live l
, though the relative lack of snow has probably helped.
Are you a fish?
they’re both happy? at the same time? blasphemy
Awwwww!
And that’s why Dina is best.
1. Dying of cute.

Was “darn it” an intentional pun here?
No need to knit-pick.
Relax, have a toque, it’s not a big deal.
Some of the comments here are real purls.
Sew it would seam.
No but now that I see it, I am quite pleased. Especially with More Puns.
I dunno, it kind of looks like she’s got a knit cap with eyes on it, worn over her usual skull cap.
She’s wearing her usual hat (or something identical in color) under the knit one, but it has the eyes and nose, and the teeth hang off the bottom of the hat, they’re not part of the main body, which means they’re attached to the upper hat. Smiley Sarah feels weird and unnatural, but it’s still somehow cute.
A pteranodon… not actually a dinosaur, but it still looks really good as a snow-figure!
Could never figure out how to get rid of the snow buildup that accumulates between your legs.
Start with legs together.
I do, downward motion and sweeping gathers snow.
Don’t you dare delete this, Willis.
Dina’s doin’ it right.
*plays Train’s “Calling All Angels” on the P.A. speakers*
A healing panel in these trying times. Thank you.
I think the alt text is a joke but I saved the picture just in case
Super cute.
I love that she was 100 percent serious. I just thought she was being facetious.
Is this the first one-panel comic with actual characters in it since… Christmas at the lake on the first weekend?
…. looks more like a snow Archaeopteryx, but still very impressive!
Great timing. We’re having quite a snowstorm today.
Same here.
Did ya remember to get the bread and milk?
Please no. Not again
It’s happeninggggggggg?????????? (yey)
Ahhh, the second best pair of best friends <3
more of this please thanks
This is so sweet!
I can’t help but wonder just how long it’s been since Sarah last allowed herself to just be innocently and childishly happy like this?
I want to say Halloween when Joyce figured out a way to make it seem like Sarah only put up decorations to annoy her.
SO CUTE
D’aww you Willis!
This is great.
Dina “I am Batman”
Okay, this is really cute. I even made an audible “aww” sound.
I think I like happy Sarah?
“Do you wanna build a snow-man?”
sarah is the best, but i’d be pretty into seeing dina and carla make a snow-saur.
I didn’t know I needed Sarah and Dina making snow angels and snow dinosaurs in my life until now.
A snow pteranodon♡ So cute♡♡. See Sarah so happy is really delicious ♡.
Why do I have this feeling that happy Sarah is going to end up running into Raidah?
You do you, honey.
Aww, this is cute.
We are now one day away from the release of IDW Beast Wars.
*Snaps fingers* Microraptor! That’s it! The mini-avian dinosaurid that had wings at both ends!
Ah, yes, the X-Wing dinosaur.
I didn’t know how much I needed Dina and Sarah content but now I want the comic to be about them.
Blessed content
A worthy addition to the banner.
I don’t think Dina’s wingspan is up to snuff.
Lexington was my favorite gargoyle. Those who know, understand why I mention this.
Awwwwww!
My approval is not needed, nor was it asked for, but this is adorable, and I 100% approve the new DoA banner.
At least these two are having a ball.

This is such a great palette cleanser after such a heavy run.
