Are these consider cannon?
The April Fool’s Day one is definitely not. The pairings of the other ones are canon, but I dunno if every single individual image is something that strictly happened. I mean, I do enough of them, it means everyone’s gonna hafta be boning every five minutes just to make sure they all happen.
Time for more maked-y posing, I guess? Or multiple shots of the same incident?
As for Joyce/Dorothy, keep in mind that alternate universes are a thing in the Willisverse (and no, that’s not a typo – I’m not referring to the Walkyverse or the universes more closely connected to it, I refer to the shared multiverse Willis’ works have, where if Walkyverse is Coruscant and the closer universes are the Core Words, DoA is waaaaaaayyyyy out in the Outer Rim. Imagine I made this analogy with something other than Star Wars).

Possibly! I just gotta have a story for one or maybe a new interesting pairing.
I’m hoping to see a Becky x Dina there some day, even if it would be a bit out-of-character for Dina.
Will future instalment continue to be canon or will the April Fool’s alternative universe come in to play ?
Probably gonna have to wait ’til next year for another non-canon pairing.

I think Ethan and Sal deserve more. They always do well in hottest dude/lady polls.

Is this confirmed? That she’s Ace, I mean. The fact of the matter is that I’m trans and it’d be really nice to see something that affirms the sexuality of transfolk that wasn’t just degrading, creepy-ass chaser porn.
She was Ace in the other world, and sexuality usually carries over. So she’s likely ace.
Was Danny bi in the other world? Anyway if Willis wanted to draw Carla he could just draw her in a pose instead of actually having sex

Yes, she’s ace, and probably sex repulsed. And @ Beef – again, the point of this is sexy posing and so only folks into being naked or fucking are gonna be in them. Carla’s not into it. Maybe Joss at some point, but not Carla.
I get it, but it’s vaguely frustrating to me anyway. Again, just wishing I could get more sexuality-affirming trans-content, instead of us being invariably portrayed as either sex objects or sexually invisible.
Well, it might not be Carla, but there are other non-Ace and probably non-sex repulsed trans characters. You might get to see Joss in here. Or Alex.
I know exactly how you feel. I can’t force Willis to change his vision of Carla as a character, and I can’t just demand for a new trans character to waltz in so my pet story elements can be met.
But it’s frustrating, I hear you! There’s *such* a lack of sex positive portrayals of trans people in media. When it comes to sex there are so many unique challenges trans people face that would never come up for cis people, queer or not. There’s genital dysphoria, how surgery can affect your sex life, the many misconceptions to dispel, non-op folks having to out oneself to potential partners and the risks involved, being assumed to be straight not in spite of but *because* of your status as trans, it goes on and on (and on). There’s so much potential there unexplored.
But, that’s all it is, unexplored potential. And when the biggest complaint of a work is “I want more of this!” Then you know you’ve got something going.
Besides, these kids have to graduate one of these days. 😛
There are trans characters who aren’t Carla who might pop up. Jocelyne and Alex could. And if there’s ever a trans man or non-binary person, they’d be a possibility. Carla is just not going to be the character who shows up.
Any possibility of these becoming purchasable individually in the future? I’d love a few of these but the cost of Slipshine membership is a little up for me, considering I don’t know how much m/m content they have otherwise and if it would be worth it. :/
Unlikely, but Willis has several Slipshine only stories for both DoA and Shortpacked!, and slipshine has a tumblr – you could probably ask about the amount of m/m content they have.
I am at a moral impasse. I am burning with curiosity at how Willis draws nudity, but have no desire to subscribe to anything at this time. Nor have I any desire to pirate his work, like some low ghoul.
I love that some people can’t get their 4 panels out weekly, but you’re four months ahead, while also producing a prodigious amount of pornography.

I signed up for a while, but found that the rest of Slipshine was not at all interesting. David’s drawings were just as good as you might expect, but I could not see the point of continuing my subscription just to see them and nothing else.
I have to say that I do find the limitation to canon pairings and actual happenings to be dull.

Sorry man, there are also plenty of positive things I could say about them, the Sal in the lake at night one is very graceful and the one with Malaya is pretty interesting because how divided her attention is and it leaves you thinking about it.
I’m so impressed that the clothes Ruth & Billie are wearing in this week’s image match with what they’re wearing in the strip atm as well
Ruth is, but Billie’s wearing a white blouse and a striped jacket, not her yellow 97 shirt, in this week’s WTTFZ. So be half-impressed!
