Ladies and gents don’t like MY alternative way of seducing them. Apparently 50 buffalo skins really freak out the vegetarians.
That shit is warm, BE GRATEFUL.
I protest! Back in my day to woo a lady/gent all you needed was your bear hands and amazing fetch quest skills! Potato skins! PAH! I laugh at your petty bounty!
What we need is three hundred platters of stolen hashbrowns from shady restaurants. Some of them still need the dusting of coke on the top. NOW THAT IS A GIFT FOR SEDUCTION!
But Soft, what light from yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Danny is the sun.
Arise, Danny boy, and kill the flowers dying,
Who are already tense with love and calling
Out for she, a maid, more amazing than the rest.
I think it’s fun but that it’s a terrible actual match. Danny is fairly emotionally stunted, and I doubt that a relationship based on secrets and hero worship will help with that.
Ouch, those’ll sting. But it’s the Magikarps you don’t want swimming around in your bloodstream. Those things will flop around tackling your cellular structure until it’s dead or bored.
You can boil the fuckers out, they’re not serious. And then you can have delicious vagina-crab dinner afterwards. It’s like herpes; it’s the “cool” STD.
Yay, someone else who watched original Batman. The question is, did you watch it when it was new (Like me, good crap I am old) or in sindication later?
She did it to masquarade as Amazi-Girl instead of him. Danny was becoming suspicious and would have uncovered Joe’s alternate super-hero identity.
When Joe shouted “College”, it was the signal for Dina to start acting.
Unrelated, but in the poll, is option #2 wrong because of abuse, or is David asking us if we think lesbianity is wrong?
Also, Lesbianity is a word, right?
Sal is fast enought to go up a vertical wall sans ropes. Amber…er Amazi-girl needs a bit of help. And indeed, nice coincidence of the the two strips: Danny gets a visit from two girl friends in unconventional ways.
Some of us enjoy the drama and warped but realistic emotion – I actually enjoy Billie smacking her down and Ruth curling up in response. (Full disclosure: I didn’t notice/respond to the poll until ‘Wait’, and I chose the ‘shut up’ option.)
Thursday is a surprisingly heartwarming day. With Shortpacked! And this… I’d say Willis was losing his evil touch, but Shortpacked! was heartwarming and evil. He’s getting stronger.
Didn’t Amazi-Girl use to fight crime? All she seems to do now is play DS and flirt middle school style. Wouldn’t a real hero be, I dunno, working on finding that rapist she allowed to get away?
Clearly we are setting up for a searing storyline about the conflict of Amazi-Girl’s romantic life with her duties as a superhero, leading her to question her true priorities and whether she will ever really be able to have a normal life.
(That aside, has Amazi-Girl ever shown any particular detective skills? I don’t think she’s really into tracking people down, as opposed to stopping crimes in progress.)
You hardly ever see her, how do you know she’s not? She spent the entire night looking for Ryan after he got away and only came back to her room in the morning when Dina was only just getting up. Plus exactly what leads does she have to go on? If Ryan’s not a total fool he’d stay out of town until the cut is healed.
Last time we saw her she was playing DS while also beating up a mugger on the Campus.
Plus Dorothy has made her uncomfortable about her secret ID so she may be keeping a low profile.
Joe DID just express only mild confusion over realizing he is unaware of the genders of the persons he slept with last night. And then said Danny should have been there.
It’s just a general thing. When Danny’s near a girl, he gets this… stupidity thing in him. I mean, the first time we saw him was his obsessiveness over Dorothy. Then his obliviousness over Amber/Amazi-girl. I’m with madd on his/her opinion on the “dismissing Amber” thing and it was amazingly frustrating to see Amber have to pull teeth to get Danny to hang out with her rather than stay for Amazi-girl. I do say that I rather liked his handling of Dorothy and Walky during the shoe thing, though. I liked seeing that bit of him.
It’s just that when he’s near a girl, I don’t like him. When he’s not, like last strip when he’s just chilling and having a soda, that feels more natural. Otherwise, a large part of his character seems to be defined by his interactions with women.
To me, he’s like Cyclops. When I was first introduced to him, he was with Jean. And he was a bland, dull, punk. I never thought I’d like him. Later, I go back and read the Claremont stuff when Jean’s dead and he’s hittin’ it up with other women. Still not my taste. Then I read the stuff where he isn’t with ANYONE and, to my surprise, I turn out liking him an awful lot! I’m like, “Dude, THIS guy I can get behind!” I think Cyclops (and Danny) are just more interesting on their own.
I’m not saying that I agree with Joe Quesada and his stupid, idiotic editorial edicts that the all female love interests need to be fridged to make the males “more interesting.” Just… I like the dude when he’s single.
Ladies and gents don’t like MY alternative way of seducing them. Apparently 50 buffalo skins really freak out the vegetarians.
That shit is warm, BE GRATEFUL.
mmmmmm, yess…
Potato skins are where it is at.
oohhhhh, quit tempting me you guys…
The problem the law limit our ability to have bear arms. It limit our options greatly.
I think this is the best pairing in this comic
I will be with Joyce here soon….I’m drawing that meeting as we speak actually. As the Chick-Fil-A guy I get to be the revealer of some things
That is assuming Willis allows this to happen, lol
It’s my second favorite. I hope it works out for them.
Agreement! : )
But Soft, what light from yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Danny is the sun.
Arise, Danny boy, and kill the flowers dying,
Who are already tense with love and calling
Out for she, a maid, more amazing than the rest.
: P Crappy crossover is crappy.
I think it’s fun but that it’s a terrible actual match. Danny is fairly emotionally stunted, and I doubt that a relationship based on secrets and hero worship will help with that.
He doesn’t seem stunted to me, rather he’s too emotional and romantic.
If anything Amber is the stunted one.
Hahaha YES.
This is great. It will get better when true identities are revealed. Probably. Depending on how that happens.
But I think this ship is going places. Places where it can dock. And not sink.
Nice to see Amazi-Girl is only using her powers for good
Can’t tell if sarcasm, but gravitar tells me, yes, yes you are being sarcastic.
I’m really not
Why use powers only for good when they can be used both for good and for awesome?
My fake Nintendo girl had a threesome with my Canadian girlfriend.
Didya trade Pokemons?
We mean STD’s when we say pokemon, yes? Cause I think pikachu as an STD would be painful. Or Onyx.
Onyx uses self-destruct.
You die.
I was thinking more on the line of “jiggypuffs”. 😀
Ouch, those’ll sting. But it’s the Magikarps you don’t want swimming around in your bloodstream. Those things will flop around tackling your cellular structure until it’s dead or bored.
And yet no one has mentioned Krabbies. Was it too obvious!? Are you not itchy!
You can boil the fuckers out, they’re not serious. And then you can have delicious vagina-crab dinner afterwards. It’s like herpes; it’s the “cool” STD.
So…they forgot to use protection?
According to my RA Yes!
Maybe next time she’ll invite you!
Sorry, that was mean.
Does Amazi-Girl have an actual grappling hook? If so she’s better equipped than I imagined.
Though it would be funny if she went all the way up to the roof and tied a rope just so she could do this.
Which begs the question, does Sal also use a rope to climb through windows or does she have leet climbing skills.
She just walks up the walls vertically.
and every week, a wacky guest star opens the window, leans out, and engages her in quips.
Yay, someone else who watched original Batman. The question is, did you watch it when it was new (Like me, good crap I am old) or in sindication later?
well, since has the grappling hook, already, she might as well use it with both window entering identities.
I believe she mentioned she uses a tree. There is one shot of their room from outside and you can clearly see a tree just by the window.
There’s a store at my local mall that sells grappling hooks. And costumes. And custom weapons.
Wait. I LIVE NEXT TO A HEROMART.
This can be you. Live the dream!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBzqOa9y02I
You do have an inn nearby as well, yeah?
Erm… Sal is Amazi-girl, this question seems redundant.
Yeah, Dina looks smashing in that spandex.
Yeah I totally dig it. 😀
Dina in spandex? Where?
Right Under her Amazi-Girl disguise.
Dina stole Ultra-Car’s costume?
Nope, she borrowed it from Joe.
She did it to masquarade as Amazi-Girl instead of him. Danny was becoming suspicious and would have uncovered Joe’s alternate super-hero identity.
When Joe shouted “College”, it was the signal for Dina to start acting.
Danny just got a surprise visit from his sweetheart, in two different universes at the “same” time ?
Here’s one lucky fellow.
Danny has a thing for girls that come in through the window.
That sounds kinky.
The chest window?
Perfect gravatar is perfect.
Let the Danny/Sal shipping commence
it did! 15 years ago! and apparently even a little bit before then!
Normally? You’re the one to talk, Joe.
What is it with Danny and Window Women?
Window Women are less likely to become Door Mats.
But I start questioning their drapes though.
Just as long as they match the carpets, it’s ok by me.
A good wine rack is a plus though.
Amber could use some lessons from Sal, but otherwise capital job on window jumping!
This is like…the opposite of the first Roomies! strip.
Unrelated, but in the poll, is option #2 wrong because of abuse, or is David asking us if we think lesbianity is wrong?
Also, Lesbianity is a word, right?
OH THE LESBIANITY.
I thought that Option #2 was more about their clashing personalities.
I think in this case, “wrong” simply means “not right”.
It is about abuse.
Okay, that makes sense.
There is no option for thinking lesbianity is wrong because we try to pretend opinions like that have died out by now.
Nice reversal of the first Roomies! strip.
Y’know, I didn’t even think about that. Heh.
David Willis. The only man who can unintentionally create a Continuity Nod. Or a Mythology Gag, I forget which.
A Continuity Nod is an intra-continuity reference to a person or work while a Mythology Gag is more of a meta-continuity nod.
Mythology gag it is, then.
Yup, he is indeed a god of webcomic artistry.
Does that make “Why can’t you do things normally?” the new “Don’t you ever think about consequences?”
I guess we’re never going to see what happens in the study room.
The next strip, of course, is Amber falling to her death, followed by years of therapy for Danny.
Amber can’t fall to her death with Ruth there to save her.
Why would Amber fall? Sal could fall but Amber is nowhere near I assume?
Years of real time or years of DoA time?
David Willis said he only wants to do freshman year IIRC, so I suppose only real time.
Sal is fast enought to go up a vertical wall sans ropes. Amber…er Amazi-girl needs a bit of help. And indeed, nice coincidence of the the two strips: Danny gets a visit from two girl friends in unconventional ways.
Well Amber is carrying a little more weight…
…
From all her crime fighting gadgets ¬___¬
That poll has some seriously warped stats: especially since David has stated the obvious: that it is about abuse.
Nooooooooooo my ship, my ship is being non-canonized…
Where can we find a pope on such short notice?
What ship ?___?
Audio owns a galleon, but the new maritime laws prevent them from carrying heavy cannon armaments.
Joe wanted Danny to join him on that threesome, yeah.
Joe/Danny, go!
Looks like Joe might be discovering something about himself during college…
It wouldn’t be a threesome anymore, then.
But I noticed that. Interesting.
Didn’t Amazi-Girl use to fight crime? All she seems to do now is play DS and flirt middle school style. Wouldn’t a real hero be, I dunno, working on finding that rapist she allowed to get away?
Her reach is limited, and she’s been known to keep playing DS while stopping crime (although apparently she gets worse at Mario Kart while doing so).

Plus Dorothy has made her uncomfortable about her secret ID so she may be keeping a low profile.
Could be worse, she could be flirting Oppa Gangnam Style.
Doesn’t Dina know that hanging outside of windows like that is dangerous and everyone can see her in her power suit
I need a DS then.
Advantage: Dan. ^^
Totally called this a few comics back. Now just a climax to this plot point, i.e. kiss, and then valentines comic involving all three couples.
Still need Ethan/some dude. Mike’s already got your mom covered.
Valentine’s Day isn’t ’til like 2035 anyway.
Ethan/Joe!
Joe DID just express only mild confusion over realizing he is unaware of the genders of the persons he slept with last night. And then said Danny should have been there.
Holy crap, how skinny is your mom?
This is a great stand-alone strip. You don’t need to know anything about the previous strips or the characters to be able to enjoy it.
Well, to really enjoy it you need to know that Amazi-Girl is Mike.
Ugggggh, and we’re back to me wanting to pound Danny’s face in. ::headdesk:: That’s it. I’m on the Danny/Soda bottle shipping bandwagon.
Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy? What has Danny done to upset you guy this time?
Things Danny did this strip:
1. Say he’s not into parties/threesomes;
2. Have a superhero vigilante girlfriend.
I’m not sure which of these deserves a headdesk-inspired face-pounding, and I’d appreciate it if you could clear it up for me.
Personally, I’m annoyed by the fact that he’s dismissed her out of costume. Implies he only likes Amazigirl for the mystery and excitement.
Love your gravatar for this response, Pinja. 😀

He hasn’t dismissed her, he’s merely more amazed and intrigued by Amazi-Girl, nothing wrong with that.
If anything it’d better he’s not two timing them but was straight and upfront with Amber.
100 comments? Wow.
Why so surprised? it can go for several hundreds when the comic has controversial issues.
You two are now, in my mind, both facets of Dorothy’s personality talking to one another.
Let’s make it up to at least 110.
“Is that a Fox-Squirrel or an Evee?”
Something tells me Joe would recognize Amazi-Girl instantly if he ever saw her.
Nothing melts the heart of a man like a girl sliding down to the balcony.
Damn straight.
Hey Willis I had the greatest idea.
When he realizes that she’s into slash and games, he dumps her.
That’s what would happen in any TV show, right?
Ha ha. Nerds are stupid.
and unlikable
(So are fat people, btw. You should make a strip when someone dumps a fat person because they DESERVE it.)
I get it! That was hilarious!
Wait, no it wasn’t, you’re a tool.
