I dunno, I think Willis will avoid anything as obvious as that. Raidah knows she has a chance to fuck with Sarah, so she’ll be on her best behavior. And Sarah knows that she has to be careful and not look like a jerk by comparison to these people.
Or if it does happen, it’ll be quick and not drawn out. Or something. I have no idea.
Billie Billie Billie…
Friendship doesn’t suck out Sarah’s life force. One of the first things she did in this comic is get to know Joyce a bit and ask her out for pizza.
It’s party-focused idiots like you and Raidah that suck out her life force. Big difference.
I’m pretty sure that several ponds of McDonalds would suck the life out of anyone. I mean, that’s a lot of food depending on the depth of the water line.
I really hope this doesn’t turn into “Sarah was right, these girls are bad influences” thing. Instead, I hope it’s a “Joyce and Billie find their own way and form unique relationships, whether they’re positive or negative, with each of these girls” thing.
Sarah is between a rock and a hard place. If she opens her mouth in a negative way against the ‘sharks’: Joyce may think she is just being her old anti-social self and Billie is already reinforcing that thought with her big mouth. Billie will put the screws to Sarah because she dosn’t like her to begin with and because she will ‘stab everything’ to get the ‘sharks’ for friends. Also, Joyce is standing there dressed head to toe in a new outfit Billie is buying for her. Sarah is screwed.
Radiah seems like a very fun and interesting character, and Sarah is getting a lot of needed characterization and development. I am really liking Radiah though, nad Sarah is interesting when you start seeing her walls break down.
It actually kinda makes me sad that i know the point of “Everyone here already hates me, anything i say will just fuck it up even more.” and now poor Sarah looks like she’s going to cry because of it. There there Sarah. *pats* Just go ahead and screw it all to death.
Think of all the nuclear bombs detonating on Earth at once, while the Sun explodes at the exact same time. That doesn’t even compare to what’s happening in Sarah’s mind right now.
and us older guys can always tell which girls are naively unaware that not all friendships are good. “Oh you can be our friend but we are all about drama and you never ever disagreeing with us”
There’s nothing Sarah can say that can make her look good. If Sarah’s smart, she’ll turn on her heel and leave them. Later she can talk to Joyce about her feeelings and her history with Raidah et al.
However, I think Sarah is way too confrontational to walk away. Fur’s gonna fly!
This mall is too small.
This mall ain’t big enough for the two of us.
They should have gone to a mega-mall.
I like Mega-Mall X actually.
I prefer Mega-Maul. Mr Bongo the vengeful bear is the best protagonist ever.
Mah spoon is too big!
Mah spoon is too big!
It was bound to happen.
Anyone else hearing that Kill Bill red-tinted music?
Yes Joyce. You should never leave your room, except for classes.
And husband hunts.
Now I picture Joyce stalking the campus with a tranq gun and a specially trained hunting dog who can sniff out Nice Christian Boys.
“Be vewy vewy quiet. I’m huntin’ matwimony!”
Unfortunately, Mike switched the signs. She is unaware it’s actually Gay Jewish Guy season.
I know some guys will be very interested to know when bear season opens.
Thanks, Doc, Now, to balance Sara’s vision of a tarted up, Billiefied Joyce, I have a mental image of a bald Joyce wearing an over-sized hunting cap.
Sarah looks ready to cry. Aww, she’s worried she’s gonna lose her little sis.
I’m glad I’m not the only one to think that. Panels 3 and 5 have her more angry, but in between, it looks more like she’s going to bawl.
To me the expression reads: “Trapped!”
Prediction: Raidah says something douchy, Joyce stands up for Sarah, everyone learns a lesson.
:D:D:D
can this lesson involve fists?
Today we are going to learn about The Parable of the Severed Femurs.
I doubt the lesson part. At least if Raidah is included in “everyone”. I think even Sarah might not quite learn something.
“I didn’t learn anything, I was right all along.”
Based on Raidah’s facial expressions, I’m not sure she has the restraint to pull it off. We’ll see though.
Friendship is Anti-Magic.
I counterspell your anti-magic.
I can’t-er spell your anit-magic
I cantaloupe your Auntie Madge.
I counter-spilled my Apple-mango
I cccccccombo-breaker your comment thread.
It’s super effective!
Am I the pony one to make the appropiate horse puns?
We already did horse puns. It got unstable.
Don’t be such a neigh-sayer.
Well you’re the mane one who was dong them in the first place.
*doing*
No, he meant dong. Didn’t you know? Dong is now a verb.
As in donging people in the face.
So easily distracted by a simple misspelled word! Canter you guys keep horsing around for longer than that?
neigh.
That would be unbridled madness
You can see Sarah’s heart breaking
You can actually pinpoint the second when her heart rips in half.
Aint technology wonderful? 😀
FTW.
Sarah really needs to be in a frowning contest.
Billie Billie Billie…

also leeches, mosquitos, and incubi
To say nothing of vampires of various flavors, metroids, drochs, and wights.
Personally nothing sucks the life outta me like eating Several ponds of McDonalds…
The questionable Chinese buffet I had dinner at tonight took a pretty good shot at it.
I’m pretty sure that several ponds of McDonalds would suck the life out of anyone. I mean, that’s a lot of food depending on the depth of the water line.
Well at the very least Billie will get along with Joyce’s new friends.
Joyce’s comment sounded more like something Dina would say. “Making friends is bad? These humans are such strange creatures.”
She takes notes in her notepad and draws a crude drawing of the confrontation.
I really hope this doesn’t turn into “Sarah was right, these girls are bad influences” thing. Instead, I hope it’s a “Joyce and Billie find their own way and form unique relationships, whether they’re positive or negative, with each of these girls” thing.
“by getting into drugs.”
Sarah is between a rock and a hard place. Shit, meet Fan, bring Umbrella.
Well fuck.
I really like this story arc.

I like “screw it all to death”- it’s a more extreme version of “damn it all to hell”
I THOUGHT WHAT WE HAD WAS SPECIAAAAAALLLLL!!!!
Sara’s paranoia… off the scale… they’re all turning on her! She should have… stayed in bed.
Also, I see her suddenly slipping into Shatner-speak.
Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind.
It makes you think that you matter.
I won’t be able to stop hearing Sarah’s dialogue as Shatner now.
It looks like Raidah is shoving the jacket into her purse as well.
“Here, hold this for me…” as the Mall cops come running out of the gate.
Billie is such a dork. She uses phrases like this, and still despises nerds?
Think of all the nuclear bombs detonating on Earth at once, while the Sun explodes at the exact same time. That doesn’t even compare to what’s happening in Sarah’s mind right now.
and us older guys can always tell which girls are naively unaware that not all friendships are good. “Oh you can be our friend but we are all about drama and you never ever disagreeing with us”
I hate that feeling. Hang in there, Sarah…don’t lose your cool.
Not that I have anything against it, but is Billie gaining weight? She looks heavier than usual in panel 2.
That’d be the Freshman 35.
So she gained 35 pounds and her marks dropped 35 points? Well, given that this IS Billie, I can sort of see that.
There’s nothing Sarah can say that can make her look good. If Sarah’s smart, she’ll turn on her heel and leave them. Later she can talk to Joyce about her feeelings and her history with Raidah et al.

OH SHI-!
wow that face just screams “fuck me”
