I made sure a very early strip didn’t have a humorous punchline so that no one could go “OH WELL THE DRAMA TAG GOT PULLED” later on when other serious stuff happened.
It didn’t work.
folks think they’re hilarious

Danny spotted!
So Joyce isn’t the first girl he meets on campus then?
And in the next strip, Billie turns her into an alcoholic Libby-like cheerleader.
And I think I see Danny in the background (But I guess I suck because I can’t think of who the blonde girl might be).
Likely Danny’s Non-Sal girlfriend (regardless of whether or not it’s a pre-existing character)
The blonde in question is in fact Dorothy.
Huh? Wasn’t Becky talking about college being a place for her to grow only a couple of strips ago? And wouldn’t that require her social interactions to change her?
Um…I mean…yay, Danny cameo! And the comment box finally gives you line breaks in the right places! Sucks about the site crash, but at least you got the comic up and that’s what’s important.
Do I see Danny back there in panel 3?
The floor pattern in the last panel makes it kinda look like Joyce has a raging boner.
Ha ha, oh man, it totally does.
This is a strange new world, how do we know that it’s really the floor pattern?
Oh man it totally does. Now I can’t unsee it!
What has been seen……….
Looks like they went to Canada in this universe too.
Heh… I can’t wait to see what Billie will be like.
Or to see the inevitable Dina & Joyce competition for Walky.
You know, beyond the glimpses we’ve seen of her so far.
This brings back memories. I remember at first being happy over the whole thing in my first year…
Aaaand then everyone (including the guys) having a little cry in their rooms after their parents left.
I mean you looked at the TV things and thought (pfft over sentimental crap, it’s not like it’s FOREVER), but then…
Yeah.
I celebrated, actually, but maybe I really was the weird one.
That’s actually an aspect of what’s called the “W Curve.” It’s how people deal with culture shock.

Hey! IU! I go to IU!
Ah, for a moment, I thought that was a blonde Ruth. It’s not, but I had to look it up first.
Looks more like a blond Amber. Foreshadowing perhaps?
(Please pacman no)
I still think the reason the site broke was because of the lack of transparent panel in today’s strip.
Looks great though, love Joyce’s expressions.
Danny with blonde-Amber?
MIND=FXED.
That’s actually Dorothy, who became a major player in the events leading up to Joyce & Walky’s wedding in the paid strips.
Is Joyce gonna be a psuedo insane stalker this time around too?
I didn’t know that Facebook was around in 1996.
This comic is set in the modern day. For them, it’s 2010.
Please tell me a version of Jason exists in this world; we need more snarky brits. Plus Mike needs a friend.
He’s a math professor.
IU! Bloomington! Hoosiers! Woot! That is all.
“Don’t let anyone change you”
…I detect OMINOUS FORESHADOWING!!
Oh man, Past McMoose, you have no idea. I come from a time where that there has become the funniest line in the whole series.
In the same panel where Dorothy’s introduced, no less.
Joyce’s parents are in some kind of Satanic cult? What’s with the pitchfork/trident shirts?
Look up “Indiana University” on Google Images.
Is that where Native Americans go to learn?
Or possibly Hindu’s?
Typo. He meant Indiana, you wiseass.
anyone else thinking of how much joyce changed in the last collage
Heh. Heh. Heh.
Just came back to re-read some during a night shift… wow Willis, you are good
…well, in insight..
(yes, i’m re-reading the whole thing now that I’m done with ShortPacked)
OMG I LOVE THIS COMIC!!
